With some of the freshmen expected to start varsity, will there be enough players to field a JV Team. Looks like Coach Williams has run everyone off :HitWall:

It has nothing to do w/ running anybody off. There is simply no talent walking the halls of that high school....period. The basketball team will have a JV team but some fresh will get major minutes on varsity. It's not just a basketball thing though... baseball and football numbers are way down. It's a trend. It starts at the top... ATHLETIC DIRECTOR... i think that is what they call it these days

Pikeville has not shrunk in size. There are kids in the hallway. But why are they choosing not to play basketball?
Did you see the number of kids out during summer ball? If that is any indication there will be no JV team.

If you think its bad come to Paintsville. Hardly any kids are playing, but you guys will figure it out. Paintsville had middle school kids playing all three until a certain time in the season. From middle school to JV then to varsity, it must have been tough but they did the middle school and JV at the same time. Look at the Paintsville varsity football team now. Only four of the ten eighth graders are playing from last year. Hope the Panthers don't go in the same direction. Good luck Panthers this year.
