Dixie 2014 shooting guard Brandon Hatton had a huge spring on the AAU circuit playing with his Louisville Magic AAU team and on Thursday evening he received his first offer.

Winthrop’s new staff, led by former Xavier Associate Head Coach Pat Kelsey, became the first school to extend Hatton an offer according to Dixie Head Coach Ken Chevalier.

In addition to Winthrop, Hatton has received interest from Xavier, Oklahoma State, Florida State, Florida, Butler, Wright State, Murray State and Virginia this spring.

In his sophomore campaign this past season, Hatton averaged 19.5 points per game.
