"Fast And Furious" Just Might Be President Obama's Watergate
#1
Why are there no investigative reporters pushing this story? This is just one of many scandals that is threatening to torpedo Obama's campaign, yet the national news media is too busy taking pot shots at Obama's leading challengers to report real scandals that might endanger Obama's shrinking prospects for a second term.

It is amazing how many Americans have not even heard about this scandal. It is even more amazing how many people are aware of this and other Obama scandals but will still vote to reelect this outlaw.
Quote:"Fast And Furious" Just Might Be President Obama's Watergate

Why a gunrunning scandal codenamed “Fast and Furious,” a program run secretly by the U.S. government that sent thousands of firearms over an international border and directly into the hands of criminals, hasn’t been pursued by an army of reporters all trying to be the next Bob Woodward or Carl Bernstein is a story in itself.

But the state of modern journalism aside, this scandal is so inflammatory few realize that official records show the current director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), B. Todd Jones — yes the individual the Obama administration brought in to replace ATF Director Kenneth Melson Aug. 30 in an effort to deflect congressional criticism — also has questions to answer about his involvement in this gunrunning scandal.
Fast and Furious was an operation so cloak-and-dagger Mexican authorities weren’t even notified that thousands of semi-automatic firearms were being sold to people in Arizona thought to have links to Mexican drug cartels. According to ATF whistleblowers, in 2009 the U.S. government began instructing gun storeowners to break the law by selling firearms to suspected criminals. ATF agents then, again according to testimony by ATF agents turned whistleblowers, were ordered not to intercept the smugglers but rather to let the guns “walk” across the U.S.-Mexican border and into the hands of Mexican drug-trafficking organizations.

Issa and Grassley are the Lone Rangers in this case Hoot. But now it looks like they may have the evidence to prove Holder has lied about his knowledge about Gunwalker and when he knew about it.

Link--- http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=46616
Roger Clemens was charged with lying to Congress under oath. What are the chances that Eric Holder, our Attorney General, will be held to the same high standard? Almost zero, I would estimate. This is the crookedest collection of people a president has surrounded himself in the White House since at least Nixon's Watergate gang.

Nixon bugs the DNC and goes out in shame. Holder, Obama and the rest of the thugs pull this grotesquely stupid move and they won't lose a minutes sleep. How times have changed.

I was there the day it all changed. Bill Clinton stood in front of a nation and said he didn't --- you know. And Shelia Jackson Lee, Maxine Waters, John Conyers, Lanny Davis et-al, defended Clinton hammer and tong. Clinton was held in contempt of court by Judge Susan Webber Wright for lying under oath and improperly influencing Lewinski to alter her testimony. Later Clinton was fined 90,000 dollars for giving false testimony and lost his license to practice law in Arkansas for 5 years.

But, he showed America how to lie in the face of incredible odds and an ever expanding mountain of evidence proving his own guilt. Everybody wants to quote him and fall at his feet nowadays. Well not everybody, put me on the list of dissenters. His arrogance and pride brought the office of the presidency down lower than an Arkansas hog waller. Compromising one's standards always does harm. Compromising the standards of the presidency gave the world an opportunity to laugh at America's president and in the process diminished the office and in turn the nation.

IMO you can thank Bill Clinton for greasing the slide to push American world dominance down to the present state of change and compromise. Say what you will about Nixon, in the end he at least recognized the good of the nation was more important than his legacy or his ego and stepped down. Heck even Anthony Weiner stepped down. Not Billy Boy, he wasn't about to give up, he was too big a man for that. Respect for America began to decay in those days. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if our image as the Great Satan in the eyes of the arab world didn't get it's catalyst from the shameful events of those very days.

In an honest administration a dishonest racist hack like Eric Holder would never been hired to work in the Justice Department, much less be named to the cabinet. The media is never short on time or ink to cover a celebrity scandal but where are Woodward and Bernstein when you need them? This type of scandal would have resulted in relentless media pressure on a Republican administration.

Eric Holder is a disgrace and so is the man who keeps in such a powerful and important position as Attorney General.

Quote:ATF Fast and Furious: New documents show Attorney General Eric Holder was briefed in July 2010

WASHINGTON - New documents obtained by CBS News show Attorney General Eric Holder was sent briefings on the controversial Fast and Furious operation as far back as July 2010. That directly contradicts his statement to Congress.
On May 3, 2011, Holder told a Judiciary Committee hearing, "I'm not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks."

Yet internal Justice Department documents show that at least ten months before that hearing, Holder began receiving frequent memos discussing Fast and Furious.

It won't be investigated. The media will keep it hidden.

It already is being investigated and the media will eventually have no choice to treat it as a major story. Harry Reid refused to have the Senate hold hearings on the Fast and Furious debacle in the Senate, which is why Darrell Issa's committee is investigating it in the House. When Eric Holder lied to Congress under oath about this operation, he ensured that his failure as an Attorney General will be a major issue during the campaign.

The Republican candidate in 2012 will not miss a chance to raise Fast and Furious in debates with Obama and even before that, Republican candidates will begin to use Holder as the poster child for the corruption that permeates the Obama administration.

Movement on this Obama scandal is becoming fast and furious.

Quote:Issa: Holder's defense on Fast and Furious ‘has reached a new low'

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) issued a scathing reply to Attorney General Eric Holder over his role in the authorization of a botched gun-tracking operation and the Justice Department’s cooperation with a congressional investigation.

As chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Issa said the DOJ has tried to detract his panel’s investigation into Operation Fast and Furious since it began, offering “a roving set of ever-changing explanations to justify its involvement in this reckless and deadly program.”

In a letter sent to Holder on Sunday and publically released on Monday, Issa lists several instances in which the DOJ either denied the existence of the gun “walking” tactics used in Fast and Furious — the process of allowing for the sale or delivery of firearms into the hands of suspected criminals — or dragged its feet in turning over documents the committee had subpoenaed.

“All of these efforts were designed to circle the wagons around DOJ and its political appointees,” wrote Issa.

Quote:Issa: 'Fast and furious' subpoenas issued soon

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The chairman of the House oversight committee said Sunday that he could send subpoenas to the Obama administration as soon as this week over weapons lost amid the Mexican drug war.

Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., suggested on "Fox News Sunday" that Attorney General Eric Holder knew about the gun trafficking operation known as "Fast and Furious" earlier than he has acknowledged.

"Why are they denying knowing about something that they were briefed on?" Issa said. "Exactly when, the American people want to know, how did it happen?"

In the 2009 operation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives allowed intermediaries for drug cartels to buy thousands of weapons from Arizona gun shops and lost track of about 1,400 of the 2,000 of those guns. Some of those weapons have been recovered at crime scenes in Mexico.

This scandal is just starting to rain on Obama's campaign. Obama has claimed executive privilege for a scandal that he once claimed that he only learned about from watching the news. Holder will soon be found in contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a subpoena. This is not a scandal that is going to go away on its own.

Surely even the most mesmerized Obama supporters will see these two as being just about as crooked as they come.

If these two were white republicans there would be outrage. A burning at the stake would be called for.

What else can this Admin get away with?

This adminstration will be marred by scandals for years after they leave office.

Very accurate prediction Hoot. But, I had another reason for highlighting that part of your post. With regard to Reid, one of my fondest hopes is that this lackey will find himself the ex-Senate Leader due to the fact that the dems lost enough seats in the coming election so as to render him a thing of the past.

Monica Crowley has a new book out. Entitled, "What the Bleep Just Happened? A Happy Warrior's Guide to the Great American Comeback"

One of the topics she covers in the book is her assertion that the Obama administration has it's 'bleep' in the wringer over the 'Fast and Furious' scandal. And it's not just because Eric Holder is trying to protect himself. It seems there is another possibility. Crowley contends administration officials dreamed up a way to make the ownership of guns look bad in the eyes of the American public and the world, by having the guns surface in various inconvenient situations, which, were to make America look responsible. The idea was to create the illusion that there are so many guns floating around this country they were bound to just spill over into Mexico, thus, exacerbating the drug cartel inspired violence and making America seem responsible in the matter.

So, the guns were allowed to walk, at he behest of whoever hatched the lamebrained idea, while willing anarchist Eric Holder tried to insulate himself of any culpability in the matter by feinting a firewall of ignorance, storing a cash of unopened emails and the like. The problem is the emails and other info subsequent to the colossal failure of the ilconceived sabotage (Gunwalker) of our nation's reputation are incriminating, as well as revealing. And top officials are implicated in a most embarrassing manner.

According to Crowley therefore, the whole thing is a plot hatched by folks in our own country to put America in the crosshairs of global consternation, thereby creating enough ill will to cause US citizenry to have to accept gun control, a long time pilar of contention on the liberal national laundry list. If this is true, liberals should be voted out of office in spite of the fact they have sworn to serve the non-productive segment of the American public with cradle to grave entitlements. When one stops to consider what is on the liberal agenda, the notion they would bankrupt America by 'giving' the store away, doesn't seem all that far fetched at all. After all, a reckoning, for the USA by being forced to assume a lower echelon in the 'New World Order' is what the Bill Ayers of this land most want. And, those leading the attempt to affect the realization of the liberal goals, necessarily need to stay in power, holding office in the federal government to effect said changes. Gives clarity to these now familiar phrases, "fundamental transformation of the United States of America", "redistribution of weath" and "Change we can believe in," doesn't it?

a second rate burglary versus a government sanction gun running that has killed over 300 Mexican nationals and a US border agent.

One forced a president to resign and the other one is being viewed as partisan politics.

It's a strang new world we are living in.

Watergate didn't kill anyone...Operation Fast and Furious did.

And people actually think our government was capable of thinking up and executing 9/11 as a justification for war...LOL. Hell, the military isn't even that smart, and civilian law enforcement (I.e. DEA, ATF, ect.) are not even close to the military when it comes to competence. All we are good at is scaring and killing people. Well, the Justice Department sure got the killing people part right on this one...to bad it was one of our damn own.

The ONLY reason this is being viewed as partisan politics is because the current admin is democrat. The media will protect their boy to the bitter end.

These fools allowed thousands of guns to walk (without informing the Mexican Govt.) with no way of tracking them, hoping it would gin up enough violence to help them attack our constitution and gain just a little more control over us.

Think about it you Obama supporters, what other motive did these clowns have? Fast & Furious (and the reasons behind it) should be enough to kick Obama and Holder out of office and behind bars.

Anyone that wants to blow this off as "partisan politics" makes me sick.
