So who does everyone think has the biggest rivalery. Of course I'm going to say JCHS V. PHS the great apple bowl. This years game was great a 60-6 romp by the Eagles what does the future hold, lets set back and watch. So what does everone else think?

Hey Tomcat68 what you say of the Russell/Ashland rivalry. I think over the years it has been a excellent game and I think that the overall W/L records are close to even. It just doesn't get any better.

The biggest rival at monroe county is Glasgow and Barren county. This year we beat Glasgow 27 to 26 and we lost to Barren a 4A school by three but were gonna get ya next year trojans and were gonna beat them snoddy scotties.

Ashland and Russell have a great rivalry going right now, but it still doesn't compete with some of the long term power house rivalries in the state. Since McGlone came to Russell, I think he is leading the series 16-14 over Ashland. Overall the record is 30-20 in favor of Ashland.
Ours has the potential to be one of the biggest rivalries in the state, but there are other parts of the state that are a lot more passionate about high school football, and that gives the edge in this type of argument. Also, the Russell game is usually only the 2nd or 3rd best crowd behind Ironton and sometimes Boyd County. If this game were being played to win a district championship every year, it's intensity would sky rocket towards being one of the tops in the state.

CovCath - Highlands has to be up there.
But T-X gets 30000+, so there is no denying it's the biggest rivalry.
