In the final softball poll, Ryle (16-13) earned three of the six first-place votes to edge Conner (25-10) by two points. The two teams split their two regular-season matchups.
Ryle went 9-2 against Ninth Region teams and played a tough schedule that featured three teams from South Carolina, three teams from Ohio, a team from Tennessee and a team from Indiana.
St. Henry (25-7) finished third and didn’t earn a first-place vote. Conner received two and Walton-Verona, which finished fourth, received the other first-place vote.
Bishop Brossart (21-12) finished fifth, followed by Simon Kenton (22-13), Dixie Heights (18-12), Boone County (18-9), Notre Dame (21-9) and Grant County (19-12-2).http://preps.cincinnati.com/nky
