NOTRE DAME 9, BRACKEN COUNTY 0 â The Pandas made two huge defensive plays early, and sophomore right-hander Bridget Stewart tossed a three-hitter for her fifth shutout of the season.
Notre Dame sophomore left fielder Kelsey Michael made a catch and gunned down a runner at the plate for a double play to end the first inning. Pandas sophomore third baseman Hanna Sullivan made a diving catch to prevent a hit to start the second inning.
Notre Dame broke through for five runs in the fifth inning, highlighted by a two-run single by sophomore first baseman Maria Schaefer.
