This is how the schedule is shaping up so far...

According to the KHSAA website, they have the Prestonburg listed both as October 26th & September 14th...so I'm not sure which one is right.

Still have not announced who we'll be playing in the Pike County Bowl, which I would imagine would probably be Phelps again. I wish we could bring in someone out of the area.

That is a VERY WEAK schedule.....

who are they playing in the PCB?

Between Turkey Creek and Belfry, Keith has won 12 or 13 Pike County Championships.

Is Chapman thanking about going to Clay Co. first i heard about it.

He doesn't have a chance at the CC job from what I hear. We are all hoping he stays put where he's at, not a coach we want at all.

Man you are the total blithering idiot. You have made lite of the flooding on serveral of your post. You best hope and pray that it never happens too you. One of their homes was destroyed in the flood and one lost theirs in a fire recently. I just don't get it, who do you think you are. Karma is a bitch and you can look out, yours is coming.

Keith May will definitely be at PCC next season.

I for one wish him all the luck in the world and hope he finds much success and is able to move up the coaching ladder in a way he probably never would have gotten an opportunity to do at Belfry.

Wish he would have ended up at SV or Letcher Central instead of being in Belfry's District. Keith knows how to win football games, and he does it in a much more respectable manner then Chapman.

Does anyone know why Keith May is going to PCC you should ask sometime.

Why?????

My observation is that he is looking for an opportunity for advancement, to become a head coach at the high school level. I think he sees the writing on the wall that he will need to go somewhere other than Belfry for that opportunity and he is making a move in that direction.

Are you saying there are other reasons? What are they?
#77
pike central getting keith may over there is a blessing for them the man can flat out coach and win. things just got interesting in belfry keith knows the kids at belfry high football team. he knows there strength and weakness. this can get very very interesting.Confusedinglepar

I know Keith has coached Jr. high for yrs. Was he ever on Coach Haywoods staff? Just wondering?

If somebody is trying to start a rumor about some wanna-be coach or the reasons why Coach Haywood didn't want him at Belfry should go to topix or elselwhere to discuss.

I am sure some of you are more in the know than I, but I see nothing wrong with getting a safety net or coaching in waiting type guy if that is who you want to be Chapman's successor.

That's not my style, but if someone wanted to explore that issue, wouldn't it be fair game?

A Belfry grad, who has coached very successfully in the grade school system for many years, but for some reason has never been included on the high school staff, suddenly takes a job at a district rival with higher apsirations.

And that shouldn't be discussed? I don't see it.

Absolutely agree 100% with this.

I've always wondered that too but I don't think there was ever much interest in him coaching at BHS. He coached softball for a short while but didn't succeed and was replaced. I don't think you can judge football coaching by that. Keith May won a few county titles but I was never thoroughly impressed w/ him. Players didn't much care for him either from what I've understood at BMS.
#87
I guess the big question is why Haywood will not hire him at the High School in Belfry. Keith is a good coach in the middle school HS is a different!! Don't take me wrong, I think he would make a great HS coach, but why not at Belfry?

PCC's schedule....Dang! What are they trying to do? See how many grade schools they can play?
