Knott Co. Central vs Breathitt Co. 3/5 (14th Region Semi-Finals)
#1
The Patriots win a close one and Breathitt totally dominates Estill Co to make it to the Semi-Finals. Game is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Monday.

Thought and Predictions?

Should be a dandy

Knott beat Breathitt (@ Knott) 70-49

Breathitt beat Knott (@ Breathitt) 74-64

Breathitt 61-60 (OT)

I think Knott is gonna come out and have a good game for the first time in forever.

Knott 71

Breathitt 60

I think if Breathitt can attack the rim and get high percentage shots like they did against Estill, the Bobcats will have a great chance to play on tuesday night. My prediction.

Knott Central-56

Knott 71 70 in ot

Monday the gym is going to be so packed we'll have to watch the game out of one eye!!! good luck to both teams

Very close match-up. I think the key to the game is Davis from KCC. Is he 100%? If he can keep from being injured KCC has a good chance, if not I think B.C. wins.
#9
KCC won't lose at home. This whole 14th region tournament has seemed to play out in their favor.
#10
It's going to be a good one.
#11
Knott by 4-6.... I just think it is meant to be for them to win this tourney!
Plus, I want the team to go to Rupp that can represent the 14th the best and Knott fan or not (haha) it's KCC!

I sure hope so.

If this game were being played at any other gym in the world I would pick Breathitt but I have to go with Knott playing at home.

If this game were played at any other gym than Knott County, I'd still pick them!

Knott by 7, they want it.
#17
With Denny's match up zone and box n one deffense and Doug Noble's dribble drive offense i'm going with the Bobcats .
#18
This game is going to come down to how honest the refs are. If the refs call true fouls on both ends and don't cave in to Davis's flops and cries Breathitt will win by 10-15 points.

Box and 1 on who? KCC will shoot Breathitt out of any zone and break them down man to man. Breathitt caught KCC in a slump last time. Won't happen again.

What about at BC, where they lost by double-digits a couple of weeks ago?

I'm taking the Pats as well...

But to say they would beat the Bobcats anywhere you can play them is completely ludicrous.
#22
Breathitt EASILY wins the coaching match-up but KCC has more talent. I am going with the upset

Bobcats-76
Patriots-70

Changed my mind.

Breathitt County by bout' tree-fiddy

Do you really believe that Breathitt will beat Knott by 15 on their home floor in the regional tourney?

You make a point. Even at BC I'd take Knott. Watched them all year and I think this team has grown up since there stretch of poor performances. So I don't think it's completely ludicrous. Your over analyzation of my comments is ludicrous.

They have grown up in two weeks?!

I'm not saying that Knott is going to get blown out or anything...

but Breathitt is playing at a very high level right now.

The last game they lost was to Perry Central...
and even though they lost by 12 they were in that game until the last 2 minutes.

They just blew out Wolfe County by thirty in the District finals. Wolfe gave Buckhorn all they could handle earlier this week.

And they led wire to wire on Estill County...
which isn't the most amazing thing we've seen anyone do this year, but they are putting teams away that they should put away and they are competing with everyone.

If Breathitt wins I won't be the least bit surprised.

I wouldn't be surprised if Breathitt won either. I think "grown up" may not be the correct way to characterize Knott. Maybe "regrouped"? Let's not act like Knott didn't kick tail up until Florida. Came back rattled, let teams hang with them including Letcher at home. Got pumped for Perry and got put back in their place after allowing Perry to come back and win. Went to Jackson rattled and got it handed to them. Since then, Knott has regrouped. Losing on a buzzer beater ON THE ROAD at Buckhorn, who by the way are good and still playing last I checked, call Perry and see. I'll take a loss by 2 rather than a loss on a neutral floor by 4 when it matters myself but that's beating a dead horse. From there, Knott kept thr lead (after pulling the seniors who don't play on senior night) the whole way against the same Estill team, beat a Jenkins team in Jenkins like they should and put together a game plan to beat a quality Letcher team for a 3rd time and was ahead the whole game. Then beat a very scrappy Hazard team that hit 1,000,000 3s long enough to be 4s and stayed on the free throw line. Yeah I think Knott is right where they need to be. I'm not a crazy Knott fan. Those are facts good sir, enjoy.

And Wolfe playing Buckhorn tight is on them. They better show up against Powell.
