Rowan County vs. Ashland Blazer (16th region championship)
#1
Tuesday, March 5th, 7:00p.m. at Morehead State's Johnson Arena

1st meeting, Rowan won 65-62. Last meeting, Ashland won 73-58

Rowan County (24-7) has notable wins against Dixie and Clark County.
Ashland (23-11) longest win streak this year is 4

Rowan County is the favorite, but their experience with Ashland makes them a small favorite

The Vikings repeat as 16th Region Champs!
#3
Tomcats to the Sweet 16
#4
Gonna be one great game, but if Rowan hold Gregg in check or if he gets in foul trouble, Cats get down big quick and would have a hard time coming back. Can't wait to watch this one.
#5
This may be Blazer's year. Got a gift from Fleming in the first round and another break when Skaggs from Russell went down with an injury early in their game with East Carter.
#6
This will be a tough battle. RC by 3.
#7
At-least in one region we'll all get to see the finals we picked.

Rowan county takes this home by 5. Gonna be a few more years till buddy Biggs gets to see the lights inside rupp arena.

What are Ashland's chances of getting to at least the state semi finals if they win the region? I know Rowan County will have a really good chance of getting there.
#11
I think this is the match up that everyone expected to see in the Championship game. Should be a great game but, I do believe that the Vikings repeat and make it back to Rupp! Vikings win by 3!

LOSERS QUIT WHEN THEY'RE TIRED, WINNERS QUIT WHEN THEY HAVE WON

Is this game still on for Monday? Just checking heard it could be moved till Tuesday.
#13
Should be a good game. There first game was really close losing to rowan in the AIT by 4,
Then Ashand got the best of them in Feb by 15pts.

I think it will be closer like there first meeting .

But Whetsel has to be a force in this game. Got to have him scoring more like he was, as of late seems like he's been going through the motions.. An limit there turnovers. I think the way salow has been playing he's really been a force! gregg an withrow are very consistent.

Tomcats by 8

They sure did. A little better coaching from the Fleming sideline with 15 seconds to go and we'd have had Fleming or West in the final.
But Russell would have provided only slightly more resistance than East did. I don't think there would have been much chance in Ashland repeating such a poor shooting performance as they did in the last meeting with Russell.

I think Townsend will be the difference maker in this one, like usual. Pressure that Ashland usually turns into points will be less effective. As a matter of fact, I'll go out on a limb and say that Rowan is able to turn Ashland over more than they turn it over themselves. Still a close one, I'll say Rowan by 6.
#19
Going with Rowan County in this one.
#20
I know I've asked once already but now tht we have snow will the game be moved?? I jus don't wanna drive all the way there and there be no game if ya feel me
#21
I am going to take Ashland 56-49.
#22
