I raise hell on these threads prior to the game and let everyone know my opinions, but at the end of the day they're just opinions.
After the games when we get on here I choose not to blast anyone because when it comes down to it these are kids that are simply playing the game they enjoy to play and we can ruin it for a lot of them. Like posting that they are transferring here, enrolling there, and getting on a plane back to texas or New York after basketball season is over.
I would hope that all of us realize that kids all over the state that have played competitve basketball with a schools name printed on their chest since pre-school don't have the opportunity to do that any more after this week.
Now Zaga, that just makes no sense. Are you saying that it's alright to bash these teams and players before the game, but you just shouldn't do it after. :Shaking:

Seems like Paige pulled a Lebron James, 0 pts in 2nd half.

No, that can't be what you meant. I just pulled up all your back posts. I only read back to Feb 21, 2012 or maybe it was 20th, but during that short period of time, I found 6-10 posts where you took some pretty good swings at teams (mostly KCC) after the game had been played. Hummm.

ANEWPAT Wrote:Now Zaga, you spent that much time pulling out all of those posts, trying to disprove something that even you know is true. You've been on these boards long enough to know that I am most certainly right. You are one fan, pulling posts from one thread. You know and I know, that on these boards, the winning teams fans are loud and obnoxious and the losing fans (regardless of how much trash talking they have done on here before the game) are humble and full of compliments. Will you actually say, that you always take the high road when your team puts a whipping on someone.
All I'm saying is that for the most part I try to stay calm in the threads after games like this.
I can promise there are several threads where I raise pure cane afterwards...
like the Perry-Johnson Central football thread this year.
Or the Sheldon Clark thread.
I will not say I always take the high road in postgame threads.
But I will say that I make a conscious effort to be as diplomatic as possible and only be obnoxious when provoked.

I'm not saying anything is alright or anything is wrong.
I'm just saying that my approach is to be a thorn in everyone's side up until the game and afterwards try to be nice about it
I won't complain about refs...
I don't want to blurt out excuses...
I don't want to go on about "extra-curricular activities" at games...
but we are free to do whatever we want on here within the member rules

I love to see teams go down like this after they bring recruits in for one season. PCC, or should i say PCC/NY, is a great team, prob. the best in the region, but deserved to get the L simply because they do crap like this. Hopefully, PCC/East KY All-stars will also go down in the 14th in girls!!!!

LOL.... If everyone played nice all the time these boards would be boring as h*ll. IMO, they have actually calmed down tremendously. I pulled this up and read for years before I started an account. I just enjoyed watching everyone, especially the PCC and KCC fans, go at each other. Without the arguing, it would just be a bunch of nobodies, who really don't know anything, getting on here talking about their opinions, which no one could care less about. LOL I've been guilty of saying some things that I don't even really believe just to get it going. :eyeroll: I think maybe you've been guilty of the same.

I'm sure no one on here will agree with me but I believe pcc fans, players and administration wanted to play Hazard so bad that they over looked Buckhorn. Not taking anything away from Buckhorn by any means, but there just wasn't any enthusiasm from pcc.

Well, I totally agree. I'm not taking anything away from Buckhorn and I don't know about the PCC fans, but I've seen this kind of thing happen before. Henry Clay overlooked someone this week, and they were knocked out of the tournament in the first game. I think the youth and immaturity of a team lends itself to this kind of circumstance.
If everyone stays healthy and you have the same team members, then I believe you'll see both teams down the road.

Perry and Buckhorn's only shot to play each other should have been in the finals.
Upsets are always possible. Obviously lol
Outside of Leslie and Hazard fans, I think it's the Championship matchup that everyone wanted to see. I know it's the one I wanted to see but, thats what happens when you don't have seeding.

Anyone that overlooks Buckhorn has lost their marbles. I absolutely do not think PCC did as I do not believe Coach Hatcher would allow them to. S@#t happens in some games and good teams get upset. I bet the Super and Coach Hatcher wished they had played Buckhorn in the regular season. It might have made a difference in the outcome of this game.

Congradulations to Buckhorn and Coach Noble on their win, I just have a couple of things to say the officiating was good, 2. Not to put one of the best players in the state in your offense and not get him open is coaching, I like coach Hatcher but the coaching was not very good last night they did nt try to force it inside to Cornett or Huff, and not to give Paige the ball more and let Beverly penatrate and dish it off is I dont know I may be wrong but I thought the coaching was not good for Perry.....

So ... Buckhorn ended Perry Central's dream season?
BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA .... BWAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!
I know that's not classy. But, if you were only around the PCC fans that I was every day you would understand. Most of their pre-district talk centered around wishing the district would have seeded ... not because they thought they might get beat in the 1st round ... but, because they felt sorry for Buckhorn having a good year and not being able to go to region. Also, talks about Matt Day centered around why he didn't go to Perry Central so he could experience some success.
I apologize to all of the respectful PCC fans but the people I hear are crazy. I would have given anything to been at that game and to see some of the familiar PCC fans' faces when the little school from over by the lake with the home grown talent ended their postseason almost as soon as it started.
Go Buckhorn! You've made my weekend.

In saying this, im not trying to be a dick by any means but when the Paige kid transferred some on here acted like he was the second coming and was by far the best player in the region without even seeing him.
My question is, how good was he really?
To be beat out in the first round of district tells me someone was wrong, meaning either someone lied and said this kid was good or someone lied and said the Perry was the best team in the mountains.
Im just trying to figure out how the almighty have fallen.

He's definitely a good player, but just not major D1 material

I still believe Jaysean is a very good player. And Jaysean did buy into the Perry Central/Hatcher system and I do believe that held him back a little. Not knocking the style or anything, but I think Jaysean needed a more open court/running style.
As for the threads about Jaysean being the best Perry Central player EVER... I don't think he is... Daniel Combs refused to let his teams lose the 1st round of district, even against 2 good Hazard teams.

I didn't say Coach Hatcher over looked Buckhorn! I said pcc fans, players, and administration! They wanted the Dawgs and it showed!

I said after the Henry Clay game that he had bad habits, but I wondered if Hatcher could get him straightened out, he didn't!
I also said by tournament time pcc would only be scoring in the 40's.
And no he didn't by into the system, he was continuously griping at his team mates to throw him the ball!

Agreed. I think Hatcher is a good coach. But this was definitely not one of his best efforts. Playing a smaller ballhandling team that likes to create off the dribble a man to man was not smart. Also I Thought he should have played Pray more. Also where was Jon Jon. should have taken Paige out early and settled him down. Over at Knott when Paige got in foul trouble Jon Jon came in and gave Perry a lift. Then when Paige came back in he was ready to go. On the other hand kudos to Buckhorn coach John Noble. Had an excellent game plan and stuck with it. Also excellent use of his timeouts when Perry was making a run. Also congratulations to all of the Buckhorn players. That's why they play the games. Throw up the ball and see what happens. I saw on here somewhere that Buckhorn wanted it bad because in their careers they had beaten every one but PCC. TO me it seemed as if Buckhorn wanted it more. Peace be among us. Brother Cecil.

And this is why every district should seed. The best team is not even in the regional tournament.
The box and one on Jaysean was the key to the game. Completely took him out of it. Props has to go to Coach Noble.
Congrats Buckhorn, go win district & region!
