Final.

After a pretty good mid-season run, SV just completely collapsed.

East Ridge is peaking at just the right time.

Congrats ER..

Epic, collapse from Valley. An absolute horrible ending to a hopeful season. Valley's small dynasty is now over.

Good win for ER. Johnny Miller was the best player on the floor tonight. They were better without Kasongo on the floor in my opinion. He has a world of talent, but cause so much controversy every game it seems. Good luck in the championship and the region.

Congrats ER - you are the better team. Lord knows we hope you beat Pikeville! haha... Anyway, correct me if I am wrong, but this is Valley's first year not advancing to the Regional Tourney since 1999. True?

Listened to the game on the radio. Sounded like Valley couldn't find Miller all night. I believe they started the game with a chaser on him and then for some reason had a hard time locating him in transition. Kid can flat out shoot the basketball. Good game by ER. It will be a little strange not having Valley in the regional field this year. They have great young talent though and will definitely be a regional contender next year.

I just got back from the game. E.R. turned in a very dominant performance. I thought it would be a tough, close game. E.R. took over in the 2nd period and Valley was unable to get within 10 or so for the rest of the night. I watched Valley dismantle the Warriors at Valley a couple of weeks ago and I have to say that neither team looked as they did then. Johnny Miller killed Valley. He had 29 points and made some very big shots and demonstrated good leadership for a Freshman. I'm not putting Valley down in anyway, I have great respect for their kids and program, but they didn't look like themselves tonight. Valley hit a skid after the win over E.R. a couple of weeks ago, and haven't seemed to be able to bounce out of it. Valley is a young team, they will be back, and they will be a serious contender for the next 3 years.

Will Coach Newsome be back?

Great job Warriors! Gotta love Johnny Miller! I agree ER was a lot better without kasongo on the floor.

SV won at Pikeville and seemed like they were ready to make a run at another region title. Who knows what happened since then. It has been a total collapse. Congrats to East Ridge hope both 59th teams do well in the region.

Glad to see ER back in region!

No love for the big boy smash from Kasongo over big Belter? Oh boy, Sportscenter Top 10 dunk!!
02-22-2012, 01:24 AM
That reminds me. I wasn't at the game, but I've seen pics, and I really had no idea Belter is that tall. Gah..tallest in the Region at 6'10 and a Soph, correct?
It's going to be fun watch Belter and ER's Miller for the next few years...

You'll go to lots of college games and never get to see a dunk like that, very impressive

Congrats to ER, I am so happy to see them in the regional tourney. They will bring a ton of fans and if Pikeville doesn't win I will be rooting for ER. Really most people don't know the history of the school, but Elkhorn City, Millard and Feds Creek know a TON of basketball, and all sports for that matter. ingleparingleparinglepar

^^And this is nothing against Shelby Valley, they will be back. But ER will make the regional tournament more exciting. And they have a chance to win it.

It's MILLER time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:

Congrats ER on the big win over Valley. The big kid for ER had one of the best dunks I have seen in high school basketball, then with the trash talking, took himself out of the game. Miller shot lights out for ER. the big kid for Valley needs to hit the weight room if he wants to be a force in the region.
