East Ridge 52 Shelby Valley 49

I_Know_It Wrote:Next time they play remind me and I'll tell the other team to take it easy he is just a freshman. Freshman sophomore junior senior, they are all playing together makes no difference?

But he still has 3 more years to play on the high school level.....the nervousness will leave him as he gets older....he will get more confident.....

Sounds like your user name fits you to a tee!!! These are children. Obviously you know nothing about these children because your comment about drawing checks is way off. His parents and grandparents work. Yes the system is abused but not by everyone. I pray that you or none of your family will need help in the future or would you think you are to good to accept help. I am sure most people would perfer to have a good job. Wonder what you do?? Beside insulting kids and eastern ky. It is none of your busines if he has been held back. That was a personal decision and you have no idea why it was made. Just because he is a good basketball player does not mean that was the reason he decided to stay back. Even if it was it has nothing to do with you. If you have a child playing it was your decision to not hold him back. Who knows if you made the right decision. To get on here and make these comments only hurts the child. Grow up and get over it!!!

East Ridge has holdbacks too so that argument is mute. I thought Wolters guarded Richardson not Miller.

Yes they do, as you well know Coach, I'm an advocate of that. Kids graduate far too early. I wish Johnny had stayed back, he's a very young Freshman.

ColdasIce Wrote:Are you saying that Valley will dominate???? Did you look at the JV game the other tonight, ER beat Valley's JV by 18...and it could of been worse than that...so what does Valley have at the JV level that will go to the varsity and compete in the 15 region...

You are forgetting that SV has a lot of freshmen and sophmores getting tons of time on the Varisty. Then you have to look at the feeder schools. Dorton and Virgie would beat either feeder school by 20+. Are you sure that the two new players will be at ER next year and if they are not can ER compete? I dont think so. I heard someone has been shopping around for a better coaching job, but I am sure he is content coaching and living at ER.Confusednicker:

Better coaching jobs should be looked for by coaches capable of coaching at better jobs. LeMaster is a long way from being considered a good coach and sure not capable of moving up...at least he hasnt shown it yet.

actually virgie beat millard by single digits both times they've played this year.
#38
virgie has only beaten millard by single digits both times this year, 1 point and 7 points i think.

What's with all the hostility people? You make both of your fanbases look stupid. Do the shit-talking on the court, let that show who's on top.

For now, it's East Ridge, whether you like it or not.

yes we know,, you threatened the 7th graders on the county championship team not to play up on varsity and jv last year in hopes of repeating a county championship. My guess is if you were a High School Admin you would have held a different view.

I believe SV played two eighth graders on JV and how many 11th graders play on JV for ER? SV has four freshmen that play significant minutes every game on varsity and they don't even have a junior on the team and only three seniors.

Threatened? I never threatened anyone, nor did I tell anyone to not play up on varsity. What I did try to do is to get everyone to work together so we both could achieve championships. I wasn't successful in doing that. I do wish to point out that Shelby Valley and Virgie DID work together and look what they got accomplished, a Regional Championship and a County JR. High Championship........ Sometimes East Ridge has been its own worst enemy thinking in terms of INDIVIDUAL rather than a team concept.

And had they played up against better competition in practice and in games they may have been Repeat County Champions last year for FC and complimented Ray this year for a regional championship. ER, EC, and Millard do not feed into Feds Creek. The consolidation is at ER, thats what virgie and dorton and SV figured out. And you wanted Johnny Miller who played varsity and started when Cam was hurt to come back and play in the county tournament whether he practiced or played with that team all season or not. Classy! But lets be honest, thats why you didnt want the others who could have and would have played both to come. We would have been awsome this year! Remeber that! And look who is the only one of that class that is really contributing, Johnny, who played up despite your, lets not say threat then, "warning".

Hey, get it back on track. Last warning.

Badman, go ahead and close it down, you can't get on here anymore and talk about sports without someone trying to get on here and air out their dirty laundry. Its sad.

But Dorton also goes into SV .....and They're better team than both Millard and Virgie...The talent that Dorton has plus the boys from Virgie will give Valley a very bright future in this region....

Hey IDK if there is any truth to it, just what another School Admin told LeMaster when he took the job "that we could have been awsome" but there were some roadblocks and that was one mentioned in particular. Just had to throw it out there if you were gonna talk about holdbacks!

I'm going to say this and be done. I have probably been the biggest supporter of E.R. I have done everything in my power to promote E.R. and all the feeder schools...... I have no clue where anyone got this point of view, and for someone to say "we could have been awesome" over this, truly has no idea what's going on. I agree there is and has been roadblocks to success up there, but if anyone thinks I have put them there so really out of touch with the situation. In my opinion, the biggest problems up there have been a poor attitude, wanting to talk the school down rather that support it, lack of teamwork, and politics. I do feel it has improved somewhat, and I feel the administration is working very hard to make things better. Anyway, everyone has the right to their own opinion, but more often times than not, people allow gossip and personal likes and dislikes to distort the truth somewhat. Best way to find out is to talk to the kids themselves. I'll live with what they say.
