I didn't know if we have ever tried anything like this on the website, so I thought I would bring this up to give it a shot.

Awards I can think of are...

"MVP" - Goes to the person nominated for best overall poster.
Most intelligent poster
Friendliest poster
Best troll
Worst troll
"Rookie" of the year - for new posters

Also, awards recognizing the following for their heavy contributions to this site:

New legendery Members

And finally:

Forum with the least posts--That's easily one of the classifieds, but it doesn't really count. I really don't like Girls BBall to much, so I'd have to give it the vote. Plus, LWC is the Stalin chick..uhm, oops..I mean Stalin, of the Girls BBall forum. He owns that pink land and protects it with his unicorns and double rainbows.

By the way, we just had a thread like this a month or two ago, but it was pretty ghey..that's why I didn't post in it besides to call Sparty names and tell her to get back to the kitchen. :trolldad2:

"MVP": Strikeout King - (he's consistent, he tries to bring new topics and discussion on several topics)

Most intelligent poster: Realville, is dutiful in FACTs, not words. Others try to fool you with making themselves appear intelligent by confusing you with literary guile. Realville brings solid facts and backs down from no one!

Friendliest poster: Granny Bear is the best. Tim Tebow won the award for "who would you want for your Next Door Neighbor", but Granny gets my vote.

Best troll: Wideright created an entirely new persona just to become a troll. He's earned my vote, but he's a genious.....(which is why I can't make him a RIY candidate)

Worst troll: OMG, Sparty looks like the Stanford Band compared to Wideleft and Whackemandstackem in this category

"Rookie" of the year: Tebow - Though he did not post a lot, during football season, I really enjoyed his posts

New V.I.P Members: I guess I did not notice enough who achieved this, but now that the rules have changed, the ability to become a VIP member has been devalued.

And finally:

Forums with the most/least posts: This HSfootball season, this site was more active than it has been in my years here. HS Baseball just does not generate any interest at all by posters. OTH keeps it alive with a little help from others.

Best/worst threads this year: Best and worst threads go to the Highlands football threads throughout the year. These were both fun, heated, and controversial. They were loaded with intelligence and idiocy at the same time.

Post of the year: Wildcatk23, posting that he completed his 1,000th post of the day, feeling great about himself that he trumped Dusty (After the weasel PM'd me to say stop posting, I want to tie you), only to go on and post sever hundred more. The 2nd best post of the year is when Dusty recognized that the BGR clock is off by 20 minutes and was able to catch and pass WCK23, and rub it in his poor little fibbing face Wink

Dumbest post of the year: DSR and the idiotic comment about Jordan not being a good teammate nor making those around him better.

Also, can't forget TheRealVille and OldSchool in the Most Intelligent category. The four I've mentioned go at it alot worse than you vag's in Sports argue...and, when a topic is discussed, these old dudes know what they're talking about.

To bad they're all so old they'll be dying off pretty soon...:happybliss:

Best troll Dusty, thank you for putting me in here. I'm honored, but retired from trolldom so I don't know if that one can count. I'm going to give this one to Wideleft01 with Neery getting honorable mention. Neery probably would have got this one, but his attacks have been had repetitive content as of late.

Post of the year - Tough tough tough....I'm going to go with something that relates to all sports...I'll be back on that one.
Dumbest post of the year Either Overrated's post about Syracuse "owning" UK, UNC, and OSU, or like Dusty said, DSR's posts about Jordan.
