hate to tell you guys but that game was called one way pretty much the whole game. powell had all its players in foul trouble. powell was the better team on the floor bville only had one good player an that was #4 the rest were avergae at best. no size at all either dennis could have had 40 if the refs didnt keep him out of the game in the 3rd with two horrible calls. marcum an pelfrey were both also in foul trouble an so was conner which is pretty much all powells offense. bville did play hard an win but did have a little help. an when i left the nl lee game north was getting the same treatment. like stated in another thread about this tourny the refs are gonna let their regions teams get the W an if ur not 20 pts better u dont have a chance

For starts bville didnt have their best player. Which averages 20 points a game all their starts average double digits. And if u played In this region u would understand u can't put your hands on anyone u can't back talk the refs like Powell county did bville was in just as much foul trouble 21 14 32 all had 4 fouls. They also had one missing cause of sickness and 32 and 14 both sick.

The call that got me was with 3 minutes left Powell had just hit a three cutting the lead to 6. Powell was pressing and Barberville throws an errant pass right to Marcum and a Barberville player climbs his back from behind and they call the foul on Marcum. Explain that one for me please.
Was very impressed with number 4 very heady and really fundamentally sound.

Barbourville is a tough team this year and I expect them to go far in the All "A"!

I know which play u was talking about and I agree that call was wrong. But the refs aren't perfect if they was basketball games would go alot different. :Thumbs:

ur right refs nowhere are perfect but when everyone in the gym can tell their in favor of their home region its hard not to get mad when the better team is being penalized by things out of their control. dont get me wrong bville is very talented even with their leading scorere out but powell was the better team lastnight, i truly believe if this game was a neutral site powell wins

does anyone have any stats on this game? i know the kid from bville had like 26 or so an i know marcum had 19 an dennis had a dbl dbl for powell with 22pts an over 10rebs.

Half of Knox County must have Mills for a last name. I don't think I've ever seen a Barbourville team without at least one. Knox Central usually has a few also. I believe the UK player on the 1958 national championship team, Don Mills, was from Knox County.
