Russell dictated the tempo of the game much of the night. Their zone was pretty effective and Rowan didn't make a lot of shots early. Wing has still yet to hit his stride and doesn't look comfortable on the court yet, and Townsend got in early foul trouble as did Thacker. As a result, Rowan had no rhythm. Credit Russell for playing well and making shots; Skaggs has the green light and used it often last night...he's a good shooter. Newsome saved RC's bacon last night, by hitting three 3's on his own personal 11-0 run to give Rowan a lead late in the 3rd I believe.

Rowan did not get any help from the officiating crew. Some questionable calls squashed some runs.

Rowan wins tonight over West Carter 53-52. Rowan came back from a bad 1st half. Rowan could not buy a basket in the 1st half and only scored 15 pts. The Vikings played the 2nd half much better, almost looked like the Vikings of last season. Pressing, making pts of turnovers, and hitting 3 pt shots. Vikings still struggled at the free throw line.
Congrats on the win and go get Trinity on Saturday.
