I just loved how Belfry went down there and stuck it to those people that said "Central names the score" Unfortunatly for the haters(mostly from East Ky) Central didnt name the score. Now maybe these kids who worked their asses off and played like a winner all season will get a little respect. I for one am so proud of these young men, no matter what the scoreboard says...theyll always be a Champion to the PCN

That right there shows the class that Central has and the respect they have for Belfry as does the applause Central gave Belfry in the end of game prayer huddle. This was a very classy ending to a very good game

what to say congrats to Central on yet another state title, to every Pirate player and coaching staff for having the kids ready,i heard Central coach admit that they over looked Belfry,Central shouldnt have missed a beat since they was supposed to have 2 or 3 backs thats as good as Davenport from Bell,but Belfry did a gr8 job against the run,but to Central credit, the come up with the big play when it was time, and showed heart with 3min to go and you know they kind of thought they was beat,hopefully we get round 4 next year..

Just got home from a long drive and even longer day. Decided to go to game late last night, so family got up and drove down at 4:30 this morning. It was worth it. Another one of the best games I've ever watched. To Central, congrats on another well deserving and earned State title.:Thumbs: You all are the class of 3a and my hat goes off to you. To the Belfry Pirates, thank you for another great season and impressive state title run. You gave Central all they could handle and all they wanted. You played like Champions today. It is a shame any should have lost such a great battle.

On a side note: As my family was walking up to buy our tickets a Highlands fan walks up to me and gives me tickets to all 3 games for my family. You sir are the reason I enjoy this sport so much and from me and my family I thank you again. I did not get to go to last games so I repaid the gift to a fan I see walking in to buy tickets for his family. thank you again.:notworthy

Way to pull it out without Ace Jackets !THAT really says something, everybody on here is hailing Belfry ,& kudos to them for making it a game, but to pull this off without their leader all I can say is HAIL TO THE JACKETS !

The tone of some of the posts makes it seem like central lost .

I said BELFRY had no chance in this ball game and i was wrong.They played there butts off and they give Central all they wanted and then some. Now i know wales got hurt and i said he would light them up but i'm not going to make excuss and say thats why it was such a good game because i'dont want to take anything away from the young men in red that played there guts out. I thought you had no chance like everybody else and i said a couple of things that where out of line and i'am man enough to admit that i was wrong and that Belfry was just as good as Central today they just come up abit short. I wont be surprised to see you guys back playing in a third state championship game. Both teams are a class act.

What the heck are you talking about??????

Almost every single post has given Central a ton of credit and the utmost of respect. No excuses, just acknowledgment of a great game and how classy the Central program is.

I haven't seen a single person even remotely let on that Belfry should have won this game. Just because everyone is giving Belfry credit for playing a great game and surpassing expectation doesn't detract one bit from the fact everyone acknowledges Central as the Kings of 3A. Stop looking for the disrespect card in every post, because you won't find it with Belfry fans. We aren't like some 3A programs on here who refuse to admit they were beat by a better team.
