The final tally in the ACC/Big 10 challenge was a rout
by the Big 10. 8-4, with the top ACC squad barely beating
Wisconsin.

their season were. Now it even granting that overall
the Big 10 is a little better this year, it begs the question,
how bad is the ACC to get thus dominated? Outside
of UNC and Duke, is there an ACC team that cracks
the top 40, 50? Allright maybe that's an exageration, but
only a slight one.

Personally I think the ACC is a good conference... I like UNC, duke, clemson, and even FSU... They will be good... Miami FL didnt look to shabby they other night either. The Big Ten games were mostly at home if Im not mistaken. Like OSU, Purdue, MSU

It was half and half on the road/home. And of course
Minnesota being home made all the diff in them beating
Va Tech. But IU was on the road to NC State and beat
them 11. Can see that IU is better than last year,
that's not saying much. Seems like ALL the conferences
are really getting top heavy, but no one seems to
be noticing the fall off in the ACC(which always bill
itself as the monster roundball conf). But I guess I
shouldn't be suprised as they gushed over the
Big 10 the last 2 seasons while they have been RANCID.

It's true the SEC has been down. Cal's revival of our team
has also coincided with a falloff across the conference.
And the media have been assiduous in pointing that out.
But at the same time somehow totally overlooked how
miserable the Big 10 was also. And now this year, they
don't quite seem to have discovered that the ACC is
dreadful too.

Yeah. With Duke's outrageous homecooking, OSU eould have only won
by 8-10 instead of administering a 20 point beat down that really
wasn't that close

UConn isn't going to the ACC, Pitt is. But Pitt should improve it too.
Problem is, that the ACC may yet collapse anyway. The SEC can
pick off Va Tech(or FSU,Miami, Clemson or even Pitt) any time it wants
too. The reshuffling in college athletics is far from over. And
Syarcuse and Pitt will have no trouble jumping ship right away
if it looks like the conference may crumble. Adding Pit and Cuse
strenghtens the ACC position, and may make it one of the
conferences that does hang on and transtition to super status
dowen the road. But maybe not.

Then why did unc get beat by Unlv and duke got beat by a team ranked higher than them and on the road? Duke has best much better teams this far than unc has

As for the UNC/Duke comparison, UNC looks double digits
better to me. Duke will beat them in Cameron because
NCAA bylaws don't allow anything else. But on a neutral
floor they can't match up. And DUDE I HATE, HATE, HATE

So against old dominion uk looked like a #2 team? No they sure didn't! So does that mean uk should fall out of the top 10?
