NBA deal made players wait a year after h.s. to go to the NBA,
so they couldn't go to the draft out of h.s. That will stay in
effect, an possibly increase to 2 years. Since they don't have
the option of going to the NBA out of h.s., being part of Calipari's
recruiting class is taking the place of going to the draft as the elite prestige
for h.s. kids. Is that clear enough for you, or can you STILL
not get it.

Im not saying Uk wouldnt get the top players. Im saying this would help UK win championship. However, If the 2 year rule stayed, UK likely would have not gotten Jones because the 5 forst round draft picks would have stayed. If bledsoe and wall had to stay then knight would not have came. If every freshman had to stay this season do you think that the top recruits would come next season to sit behing davis, gilchrist, Teague? Probably not. Would UK be better off? Yes I think they would likely win a championship next season if all players stayed another yeat. Heck if they all stayed another year you could probably buy me into this 40-0 crap. Until you get great talent to stay more than a freshman season the championships isnt going ot follow. Just as Cal has proved before, he has had great teams, some of the most talented if not the most talented EVER, but yet how many championships? Sure you will make the tourney year and year out and go to a Final 4 ever once in awhile but championship is something that takes expierece

He has had 3 recruiting classes, 1 of which is still playing. So it's
ABSURD to maintain that all his freshmen are going to leave
ever year. Especially when only 1 did the 2nd season.

I expect going forward if the 1 yr. remains, that Cal will
have 1-2 who DO go each season, and a couple that
remain 3-4 years. And at the end of each 4 year cycle
there will be some contributing seniors.

But even if not, it's also LAUGHABLE to say he can't win
a championship. Carmelo Anthony was almost a 1 MAN
freshman team and he won a title. Unless you put together
a prohibitive team like '96 UK, there's always a little element
of luck that goes in to who wins. Sometimes there's a
HUGE element like '83 or 2010. Right breaks and Cal
could win a title or 2 with practically nothing but frosh.

I quit trying to have a convo with you. There isn't a player on uk's team to compare to Carmelo! Luck can u get you places but odds are t likely for it to get u championships. How was uconn luck last season? They were a great team! When was the last time cal had a player stay 4 season? A decent one anyway?
