Boone Co. (1-0) -- Popp 4, Jones 6, Murphy 2, Moss 13, Nash 18, E. Switzer 6, Hill 10.

Miss Basketball candidate Sydney Moss had a bit of an off shooting night so she turned to distributing the ball to teammates, getting steals, and blocking shots. She used her defensive skills to score 9 points in about a two minute period early in the third to bump Boone out to a 20+ point lead that essentially put the game out of reach for McAuley.

The Lady Rebels got a nice scoring game from Lydia Nash who used her good positioning to get pin point passes from Moss to ring up 18 points. Newcomer Zuri Hill was excellent on the boards and also hit double figures with 10 points.

Overall, a relatively easy but sloppy Boone County win.

Just curious, did Moss ever consider UK? I know she signed with Florida, but since she chose to play in the SEC, it would sure have been nice to have had her in a UK uniform.

UK wanted her and she visited a couple of times unofficially but something just didn't click there for some reason.
