You can't judge in CBB off of one game, when you play 30-40 games a season you are going to have bad nights every now and then. All that matters is the W/L columns.

Weak, weak weak up front. And they wouldn't have beaten
Kansas without the usual Duke "benefits" in officiating.
Actually they didn't beat Kansas anyway, not nearly so
much as Kansas took the victory and handed it to them.

WHAT?!?!?! They haven't lost a game! They have played a hell of a schedule so far!

Are you drunk?!

I do see where your going, however they did win their games whether they had bad calls or not i mean what more can ya do?

What exactly is slezzy???

Just did a quick search on dictionary.com and this is what was returned:

No results found for slezzy:

One can assume that you meant sleazy but who knows.

Excuse me but other than Kansas, who have they played?
I guess Belmont is what passes as a "hell of a team" nowadays?
Or maybe Presbyterian, Davidson? Or maybe you think UT may
actually be so good they'll finish out of the cellar in the
SEC? And in case you missed it, Michigan State is
pretty sad this year. So it looks to me like they've played
one good team, Kansas. And Kansas didn't play anywhere
near as well as they played against UK and STILLl beat the
Pukies only to hand it to them on a silver platter at the end
of the game.

Not denying they won, but taking advantage of dubious
officiating doesn't equate to making a top 5 statement.

I'm sure you watched UK/kansas didn't you? Despite
a slow start UK bitchslapped Kansas and the 10 point
margin was in no way indicative of how UK dismissed
then in the 2nd half. And Kansas played well against us.
Against Kansas, Duke was beaten until KU fell asleep and
handed Duke the ball at theend. And KU played poorly the
whole game.

Michigan State aren't scrubs...they're not great, but they;re not easy by any means. They've played Michigan, Tennessee, Kansas, and play Ohio State tomorrow night. That's a tough schedule.

You can't compare our game with Kansas to Duke's...that's just stupid. We're better than Duke, that's why we handled Kansas. But Duke hasn't lost and they've shown that they can persevere and win, as much as I hate to say that. Right now, they deserve being in the top-5. Rankings aren't based off "almost losses".

WELL, why should I be suprised? They beat OSU you can get back to
me Junior. When they get bent over by the Buckeyes, maybe
it will finally sink in with you.

A quick glance at the top 20 shows another 9-10 teams that are also undefeated. Duke WILL play some good teams this season. They
PROVE it then, that's a different story. So far this season,
they have NOT played a good schedule, and they're close
call against Belmont, and scuffle against Michigan State make
them look SUSPECT, not "deserving of a top 5 ranking".
Maybe you're trying to get on Sparty's good side, but MSU is NOT
good this season.

I'm not saying MSU is good, but it's obvious that they're not easy to beat and play up to their competition.

I just don't get how you think a team that hasn't lost, no matter how close the damn score was, hasn't earned their ranking. They HAVE proven it! They've won really close games, like Belmont, instead of choking like UNC. They beat two top 15 teams on the way to the Maui Invitational title!

Again, I hate Duke, but it's common since. They're better than most teams in the country. What teams do you think should be above them? Let's hear them..

Why can't you comprehend?! We were discussing Duke's schedule, OSU is on their schedule!

You've already proven you don't know much about basketball by saying Duke has played an easy schedule, old man.

Do you have access to a time machine the rest of us don't?
They haven't played them YET. When they do, you can use
that game to make a comparison, til then try not to look
so foolish by pointing to that game, to make your case for NOW.

I wasn't aware we were talking about the strength of schedule in any certain time frame. You said that Duke's schedule sucks, I pointed out that it doesn't now, and it won't later this season. I mentioned the OSU game to prove my point even more that Duke doesn't have an easy schedule...you started talking about Duke's "easy" schedule, not me. They have earned their ranking SO FAR. You is wrong.

Only one I can find is Kansas...they have the hardest schedule out of the top 25 easily. Duke is right behind them, though.

Here are the Strength of schedule rankings. Duke is the highest ranked Top 10 team, coming in at #27.

You whine all you want, but you CANNOT point to games
UNPLAYED as proof that Duke has played tough opponents.
At NO time have I EVER referred to who they WILL play.
I have disussed only who they HAVE played. And AGAIN,
unless you slipped in to that time machine, you haven't seen them play
OSU or any other of those upcoming teams that may be tough.
So DO NOT try to make a case that they have played tough
competition based on the future. They have played Kansas,
and that's IT for top quality teams. And if they played Kansas
10 more times I'd expect that Kansas would win 6 of them if not
7.

Good for you. Even without OSU, their schedule is still one of the toughest in the country. You don't know a thing about college basketball, lol. Or at least you hate Duke to much to be un-biased.

I'd guarantee I hate Duke more than anyone on this site, and most of our other rivals...but I call it like I see it, and all you have to do is look at their schedule, lol.

Trust me i hate Duke as much as the next guy, but trust me, they deserve to be there.
I would almost guarantee they'll split with Carolina this year and only lose 2 or 3 games at most.
What's your argument gonna be when the tournament start and Duke is in the elite eight or final four, like they will be?
You said all the teams in the top 20 deserve to be ranked higher so does that mean if they make it to the sweet 16 you were wrong?
Your logic makes no sense.
#56
If can just get our first one this year, our first title in 10+ years, it would getthat monkey off our back and take alot of pressure off...we will go on a run that college basketball has only one or twice a decade, like our 96-98 run, but I think we could pull of 2..if not 3.

I WANT IT!

If they prove it then I won't have an argument will I? Nor
will one be necessary. What are you going to say, when like
most of the last 10 years Duke gets overseeded, but knocked out
in the 2nd round because they have no front court?

Try actually LOOKING at who they HAVE played. There
schedule so far is nor tougher than 50 other teams. After
tomorrow you can count what they did against OSU. When
OSU REAMS them in Columbus is that ALSO going to be proof
