South Oldham High School senior midfielder Marissa Williams has been named Miss Soccer by the Kentucky High School Girlsâ Soccer Coaches Association.
Williams had 15 goals and 14 assists for the Lady Dragons, who finished 13-8-1 after falling to Christian Academy in the semifinals of the Eighth Region Tournament.
She has signed with Mississippi State.
Williams was one of seven players from the Louisville area named to the All-State West team, representing regions 1-8. The others were Maleâs Kate Barker, Oldham Countyâs Shelby Cohen, Sacred Heartâs Sara Herbert and Mary Kate Schmidt, Assumptionâs Morgan Riggs and North Oldhamâs Erin Ottman.
