I got $500 that says Jude had less than 125 against Bell last year and less than 70 when Bell pulled starters in the 4th quarter. Call Coach Yankey at Bell or Hoskins and they can confirm this.. Jude is a nice player, but very average when it comes to better competition..

I said Ashland could stop Jude ,and im sayin so can Belfry.Jude will have a hard time getting 200 yards friday. Not sure what he needs but 200 or more is a stretch again Belfry.

Here's what Bell reported as stats for JC in that game.
Of course it doesn't break it down for individuals.

Any new numbers on wales and jude.

Anthony Wales, Centralâs All-State running back, carried the ball only once in the first quarter after suffering a hip flexor. He came back strong by running for 188 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries.

At the end of the regular season ive come up with this....
Jude ran for 119 yards.
Wales ran for 188 yards.
That puts Jude about 81 yards away from the record.
That puts Wales about 531 yards away from the record.
I wouldnt be surprised to see Jude break it this Friday.
I think it still really depends on how far Central goes in the playoffs as well.

^ JC needs to be firing on all cylinders all right now, and they need Senior leadership and the young kids to step up as well. I like to see them go to Gound and Dillon in the run game to take the focus off of JJ for a while. Really opens big opportunities for JC on offense when they do this.

No one is mentioning the fact that Jude's totals had been misreported and that he is still over 200 yards away from the record after the Belfry game. The misreporting was not intentional, but it did happen. WSIP had Jude needing 362 yards going into the Belfry game and we had him with 119 against Belfry and WSIP had him with a little bit more than that. You can do the math from there. The guys from WSIP have watched him and totaled numbers for Jude for all 4 years.

My guess is Jude breaks it and Wales ends up with it due to # of playoff games played by each. Still both are great RBS........

Thats my thought on it. Realistically Jude has 2 games left, with 1 coming against a tough highlands team in the 2nd round. Wales in my opinion has 5 games left, but no less than 3.

I've read somewhere (sorry I can't remember) that there was a mistake on Jude's totals & he needs a little over 200 yards to hit the record & Wales needs 584. I see JC MAYBE getting to the 2nd round. Highlands is way too much for JC!!! Now Central.....I see them playing on December 3rd at 11am @WKU!! Let's talk piling up the yardage. Jude averages 30 carries a game plays all 4 quarters. His coach runs him till his tongue is about to fall out!! Wales averages about 18-20 carries & only plays 2-3 quarters. Look at the numbers against 3A schools. Etown game he had 255 yards in the 1st quarter. He ended that game with only 18 carries & 355 yards & I believe 3 TD's!! Phenomenal!!!!!! This Wales kid is the truth!! U might think he's small it whatever but this kids vision, quickness, & ability to stop on a dime & pick his speed up in less than 4 steps is outrageous. Wales is by far the better player out of the 2!!!!!
This post is not to take anything from Jude or JC......just stating my opinion

If your post is not to take anything from Jude or JC why bring them up and say things like his coach runs him to his tongue hangs out? Where did you get that JJ averages 30 carries per game? He may get 30 carries, I don't know, but I doubt it.
Obviously, Wales is a very talented back. Wales play on the field and numbers speak for themselves, no need to belittle Jude to make him look better.

I'm not taking anything from the kid. Just from following the two I've seen where Jude averages mire carries than Wales. If Wales had the ball 20-25 or even 30x then he would have 300-350 yards a game as well. As far as my statement "running him until his tongue falls out" was just a joke. That wasnt meant for someone to take it & run with it like u did. Also tge two are compared all the time. So why jump down my throat b/c I give my comparison!! It's just my opinion!!!! Apparently some college coaches agree with me!!!! If u don't like what i post skip over it & don't read it. Oh & 1 more thing...I'm not trying to belittle Jude!!! IDK where u got that from

Fair enough. Maybe, I am being anal. Have you ever seen Jude play?

No I have never seen Jude play but as other posters have posted CENTRAL's schedule is much harder than JC's. Wales is consistent with his game. Whether they're playing 6A or 3A schools. B4 u get ur panties in a up roar I'm sure JC has some tough competition as well but not as tough as Central. I just think u misinterpreted my original post. I wish both young men the best of luck & I really wish they both could make it to BG & then that would really be a great run for the rushing title

After comparing Jude and Wales stats they are actually very close. JJ is averaging 22.6 carries per game. Wales is averaging 20.6 carries per game. The argument about competition is a valid one, but the statement that JJ is averaging over 30 carries per game is just wrong.

After going to KHSAA leaders as well as KHSAA score board where you can click for stats all of Ace's stats are available ,Johnson Central & Judes are not.

No, you're wrong, they are on the KHSAA website, except for the last few games, and I got those stats from the Daily Independent.

Except for the last few games ???? When someone is approaching a milestone like this stats should be put up ASAP ! To avoid any discrepancy.

Not my place to judge that!
I was just pointing out that stats are posted and you were wrong. Just takes a little bit of research to find this stuff. Its OK to admit when you are. Nobody's perfect.

According to my numbers Jude needs 186 yards and Ace Wells needs in the vicinity of 550 to break the state rushing record going into week 1 of the playoffs.

Ps does not take extensive research to find Ace's stats, as a matter of fact only stats posted by KHSAA are official so that research doesn't count if it's not according to KHSAA
