Although they've played a tough schedule, it's still been a rough year for the Blackcats. They showed that they can compete with every team they lost too this season. They had the Perry Central game won, competed with Belfry for 3 quarters, couldn't convert in the redzone against Hazard, and just flat-out gave up against Leslie County & Pike Central when the going got tough.
Injuries have plauged this team this season, as Jamerson got hurt in the 2nd quarter of the Perry game, Garner & Anderson got hurt during the Belfry game, and Osborne & Collins both ended up going down as well. Those are VERY vital pieces to this teams success. Freshman & some sophomores have had to step into varsity roles against some of the tougher teams in their respective classes and they've been pushed around. This is where some of the seniors need to walk up and put their arm around them and give them some advice and not down them.
This team has got to grow a set and realize that their last game could be Friday. Then they'll look back after they graduated and think about what it could've been. I've talked to a lot of former players and everytime we start talking football they all say the same things, what if? These players need to put this regular season behind them, because whether their classmates, family, friends, etc believe it or not, they can make it to Bowling Green. They have as much talent when the starters step onto the field as anyone else in 2A.
It's time to put everything you've been told or read and put it behind you and play with that chip on your shoulder. Go hit somebody and make sure that they remember who hit them and don't ever let up. Play to your potential and prove everyone wrong.
Go Blackcats!!!

The Blackcats have a good chance to redeem themselves by pulling this game out and getting a rematch with Leslie. Assuming Leslie beats Mboro and that is likely. But it's going to take some heart and a lot of good execution to do it. Pburg has the talent to do it but do they have the heart?
The winner of the P'burg / Danville game will face the winner of Somerset / Betsy Layne.
Leslie Co. / M'boro will face LCA / Shelby Valley.
I agree P'burg can redeem themselves vs. Danville, it will take a great effort but can be done.

You are right about that my mistake. Although, I do believe that if Leslie continues on doing what they do,which is finding ways to win, they could find themselves in the regional championship game.

I'm rooting for P-burg in this one. P-burg has to walk on the field to attack, not play.
I think Danville makes too many mistakes when you take it to them. This one is a head
game. The mental factor will be the key to success or failure.
Mind set PB -- PB 23 D 17
Mind set D -- D 31 PB 13

Offense
Jamerson and Williams must run like shot out of a canon. No more jogging, waiting for something to open up. Hopefully Collins will be back to old form. The effects of his injury has been obvious over the last two weeks. Crisp has gone from an accurate passer to a kid who could throw the ball in the ocean the last two weeks. He is so much better than what he has shown over that time. He needs to get back to form. I feel as if he is injuried and is hiding it because of the sharp decline in his performance. The line needs to step it up. Their play has been solid for the most part, but lapses in blocking will not work in the playoffs.
Defense
If P-burg stays in the 4-3 the ends and tackles have to play better. Ends must contain and tackles cannot be blocked one on one. Outside Linebackers have to quit getting sucked in on the first dive back and trust their tem mates to make the play, otherwise Danville will rush for over 400 yards on Friday. Unless something changes this week, Osborne is too hurt to play. The kids got heart, but he can't even walk without limping let alone run.
You have a it right no the head !If Jamerson comes to play ,and Crisp can keep his head on. They must get the run game in to be sucessful, no jet sweep. that play just gets a bounch of lose yards. You run south, not east and west. they should be ready and healthy.:redboxer:

They need to give us something to cheer about Hit Man. I feel i'm putting more into the game in the stands now than they are on the field.
If these boys will play to there potential & show they want to win i will be the loudest person in the stands. :truestory:

The Prestonsburg Blackcats need to focus on the playoffs....The games in the rear are what seed you were placed in, If the Blackcats want to have a positive outcome in this game, they must understand the the real season starts this Friday night...You guys have some awesome playmakers...Williams, Crisp, and Jamerson needs to fire their team up in practice this week...Time to make a stand! in a lot of post on here you are not given much of a chance against Danville, but with the right attitude and not rolling over, you might be surprised to find that there is a reason the games are played...I have faith that you will start your season this Friday and will give you the edge 28-14!

Wow, i understand he was injured a few games back, but i spoke with him myself & he said he has been cleared to play for 2 weeks now. I know they have not used him on offense the last 2 games & it shows in there offensive production.
It's one & done now, he is a senior & the leading rusher on the team he needs to be on the field period.
Huge mistake by the Blackcats if he is not. :HitWall:

Danville will prove to be too much.

Don't know too much about the BlackCats, but they are #2 in their district and Danville finished 3rd. However, I do think that Danville can be as dangerous as anyone in Class AA if they are hitting on all cylinders. With that said, I will take the Ads by 14.
