Who wins this game? Harlan should have 3 to 4 of their injured starters back for this one and it's at Harlan. Corbin's always a tough game for the Dragon's though.

I think that Harlan can win this game. But it's gonna take having all their players back on defense and an all out effort on both sides of the ball. I have personally talked to officials that have worked games for both teams and they tell me that if Harlan plays their best they can beat the Redhounds. But if the Dragons play like they have since all of the injuries then Corbin could pull a route of the Dragons. For the last two weeks the Dragons have had only half of the starting defense that they began the season with. We lost lost our entire core of linebackers that started the season off. This week some of those players will be back in action. The game is at Harlan and that is also a plus for the Dragons. If Harlan wins it will be a close one by one TD or less. Harlan 26-22.

Dragons make history and pick up a much needed ego boost with a win and make history by getting wins over Middlesboro and corbin in the same year.

Got a great chance, but it doesn't hurt that the boro is terrible and Corbin isn't far ahead of them.

Game shall be close as Corbin pulls out a 32 to 28 victory.

This should be a close and good game. I'm taking the Redhounds by a TD.

i would just like to say that starting Harlan Jr. OLB Ryan Jones, is out the rest of the season with a clavicle that was broke in 8 places, and had surgery last monday to repair it. And something else i would like to add, the Harlan parents and fans on here, and around the school, im very disappointed in you. When this kid was hurt, he was never mentioned on here by any of you guys wishing him better of anything, but the other players that were injured after him was, including RB Demarcus Williams, was mentioned. I heard that the ole ball coach even went and visited Demarcus when he didnt visit Jones.
Jones has been treated wrong at harlan ever since his soph. Year, he was the starting Left side wing and second leading rusher and had second most carries on the team his sophomore year, including being the leading rusher 3 of the first 5 games. im not going to mention names but one of the players played the buddy system with the O coach and head coach, and took the starting spot from ryan, when he was doing a heck of a job, and gave it to the suck up kid, and never gave him the chance after that to even touch the ball or contribute on offense.
i believe both of these events have took an emotional blow on the kid, he is very humble. i mean he is a teenager and things like when people act like they dont care or push him to the side so another can start, when clearly he was the better RB,, can really get to a kid
My son attends the county school and told me about this, i seen jones play at evarts middle and a heck of a RB he was, he was going to come to county along with jake middleton and play for the bears, but he went to the Ind. school. wouldve loved to have him here, maybe he wouldve been treated fair.
This post isnt for eveyrone, just people of harlan.

Personally,Dabest,I try not to mention any of the injured players names unless Someone ask's specifically,by name, about their well being. Ryan is a great kid and I agree with some of what you have said about him and some I have no knowledge of. My son and Ryan are best friends and I have taken Ryan on family trips. I have a lot of respect for him and his family. I don't think there's any of us that are on BGR that don't wish him well. I hate too see it happen for him like this,I really do. I agree that every time he touched the ball he had good runs but lately, like you said,it has been less and less. I don't know why. You are right ,he's too good to not be used according to his talent.

!st off I hope the kid recovers and has a great season next year! I too had a kid from the other end of the county around about the same time. Harlan came knocking and wanted him to be a dragon. They do it in around about ways, they will pop up at JR high events and so forth for this reason and this reason only. I was told by a parent that coach so and so says your boy won't be able to play. He better come down here because of this and that! Coach told me to tell you he will be able to play next year and not have to sit the bench. Wonderful news in the paper weekly about the school and so-forth kind of got my attention. I considered it until a friend told me about his experience with them stating if your not one of them you will never fit in at that school. I went with my gut and my kid will graduate in a few months from Harlan county high school. Last year, he scored a 29 on the act and will enter college as a 2nd year student with very little cost to myself. Not to mention he has played on a pretty good football team and program form HC. I really feel like the coaches would do anything they could for him and I am more than glad I went with my gut.

DaBest - sincerely wish Ryan the best and a speedy recovery. For what it's worth, please consider that not all fans commenting on this site know exactly who is hurt at any point point in time. I, for one, follow peripherally from another state...and comment on games mainly when I can find them streamed on line (not that often).
Personally, I find it hard to think that anyone would intentionally not wish ALL players the best. I also find it hard to believe that coaches would play other than to win, with the best players available.
It's easy to second guess when not involved in the day to day or in the heat of game decisions. Just my humble opinion...for what it is worth.

and for thinking coaches wouldnt let kids start, based on who they are or how good of friends they are with the coaches, well u r just crazy lol Harlan ind. is all about who you are and how much money you have, and kids do get treated different on the football team there, based upon who ur parents are and if youre a suck up to the coach.

I just watched some of the Bell/Corbin game on video and Corbin looks alot like us. The scales may tip in our favor when it comes to the skill positions and I do believe we have the better QB. They certainly are no bigger than we are and no faster than we are. I'm looking forward to a good competitive game Friday night. One with no injuries. We finally have everybody back and pretty much healthy after a month of only about half our original starters and we don't need anymore injuries. I know the Dragons can win this game if they come out and play good sound football. GO BIG GREEN!!!!
