hahaha, i thought this was funny. according to everyone else, leslie county wasnt going to win this game. i guess almost everyone that posted on that thread can eat their words. underestimate them the rest of the season and ull find yourself disappointed once again. and Jamerson is a d1 prospect? the boy didnt do anything. and if a team that has a d1 prospect player on it gets beat by a team thats "suppose" to lose every game, then something is bad wrong. and i thought #21 and #71 was ineligible? well they played after half time. and another thing, if they was eligible, they would have played cause i heard they were two of their best players.

Congrats to everyone at Leslie County! Your fans, coaches, and players simply wanted this much more than Prestonsburg's.

Prestonsburg looked like they were going to blow this one open early as they led 13-0 after the 1st and then looked like they would score again after a Leslie fumble, but the Leslie defense held the Blackcats in check and Prestonsburg didn't do squat afterwards.

Just about everyone folded for Prestonsburg last night. If a Blackcat made a mistake out there then they all did the same thing and got up and limped off to the sideline. This team isn't tough, they have no heart, no leadership, NOTHING. It's pathetic because they could be 100x better than what they are, but it may be too late to get everything turned around as the Blackcats will travel to P/O'd Pike Central and then will host a darn good Danville team.

I don't know what the poster above me is talking about - Collins & Cook being ineligible. #21 Collins was questionable coming into the game and they decided to play him in the 2nd half and Cook wore #41 jersey because he played fullback early in the game until Collins come back and then he put the #71 jersey back on.

Everything has turned into the DeRossett show and we see what is happening. James' defense couldn't stop me out there, so I imagine the basketball team will be pretty crappy as well(what's new?).

I'm tired of my former school turning into DeRossett High School.

I don't know about all that, because I've played for these guys and they know what they're doing. But they can't get out there and play for these boys. Majority of the blame on this teams struggles needs to be pinned on the coaches, but there's only so much they can do.

I don't always agree with the play-calling or where some players are positioned, but in the end this coaching staff gets the best out of their players up until this year.

There is ZERO leadership on this team! There's too many "me" players and none of the seniors want to step up and get into each others face. And like I said in my previous post, it may be too late for this team to get things turned around. I hope they do though, because it would be ashame to see this team with all the talent they have lose out.

Almost no spread at all until right before halftime. Pburg could have opened up to a big lead at one point, as they had the ball and was leading the game 13-0. But the game changed from there.

The pick 6 thrown by Crisp didnt help matters, thats a 14 point turn around in the game as the interception was thrown in the end zone as the Blackcats was about to score.

The thing about that is those passing plays are drawn up for those two players. Leslie County left Wesley Robinson wide open the entire night streaking down the field and he wasn't aknowledged.

Congrats Leslie County on the District Championship, you most definitely wanted it more & it showed.
Blackcats you need to dig deep & find some heart. Someone (player or players) needs to step up & take control on the field & be a leader on both sides of the ball.

I appreciate everything that the guys at Sports Overtime do for the mountain schools but come on the coverage of this game was pathetic. How do you only show one highlight from the team that was picked to lose and ends up winning the game and the district. It makes no since to me to show 5-1 highlights of the losing team over the winning team. I know these guys cover several games a night but, I am sure they captured more than one highlight for Leslie from this game. I hope you at least award them with a spot in this weeks mountain top 10.

LC is returning over 10 starters, everyone knew they would be good. I would have liked to see the napier kid play throughout the season.

And I will tell you this, P-Burg did not want contact.. And the athletes got hit all night long.. #3 Blake Bray punished Williams and Jamerson on back to back plays it was beautiful...

I wouldn't say he made Prestonsburg what it is today, but he is the winningest coach in Prestonsburg history.

Prestonsburg has always had a lot of tradition and has had great coaches (i.e.: Phillip Haywood, Chuke Williams, Bill Letton, etc.)
