Chapman is a piece of "poop".

While we are on the subject of coaches and class:
VERY classy move by Dudley Hilton to be at the game and be there to pay respect to Haywood. Passing of the torch from a living legend to another.

Shit like that is the reason I am glad Paintsville had nothing to do with Chapman. If I was a HC and Haywood won that game on my field I would make sure the PA announcer honored him and have every player congratulate him.
10-22-2011, 01:07 AM
I was at the game.
After Chapman and the team left the field, I did walk by him as he was making his way back up to the field.
It's possible that he may have wanted to congratulate him after all the media stuff had died down...cause their was alot of media surrounding Haywood.
But I'm not sure...

I wondered if he would do that. If he did, that is truly very classy!
10-22-2011, 01:20 AM
I was at the game and coach Chapman had no intentions at all to shake hands or even speak to Coach Philip Haywood after the game and there is no way he did this just because of the media being there for coach Haywood...I have watched coach Chapman at several football games and he is not a very classy coach at all....If I had a son that was going to play high school football there is no way at all I would let coach Chapman be his coach just because of the way he acted after the game tonight!!!

Hilton is a very classy individual and i wish him and UPike the very best here is hoping some of the coaches in KY will learn and have the same kind of attitude and moral compass...

Congrats to the Pirates and Coach Haywood on win 346. Total domination tonight!
On the other hand, total classless move by Chapman to not shake hands. And also, heard #56 (Justin Runyon) for PC punched a Belfry player in the face (J. Johnson) when his helmet popped off on a play, causing him to miss the 2nd half.

I was standing right in front of the play when Johnsons helmet popped off on the play and #56 did punch him in the mouth after his helmet had popped off and he was already laying on the field when the punch took place I know Justin was bleeding pretty bad and they took him to the hospital and they are saying he has a concussion...I just hope Justin Johnson is alright but I haven't heard anymore about his injury at this time...

Case at point WHAT KIND OF VALUES DO THE PIKE CENTRAL PARENTS AND THE ADMINISTRATION WANT FOR THERE KIDS. If i were principal at PCC he would be history.
?Where were the refs why was the kid not tossed and suspended for the next game.

That is correct. I witnessed it also. As he was getting up he popped Justin pretty good. Couldn't believe what I was seeing. Right in front of the ref. :eyeroll:

The refs were absent all night apparently. #22 (Dotson) for Belfry was getting held by the left tackle the ENTIRE NIGHT.

I am pretty sure that Hilton & Holland were there to watch Boggs. I have heard that they are wanting him to come to UPike and have been to some of our other games. If you noticed he spent the night on Pike Central's side and the majority of the game talking to Allans dad. Not saying that Haywood's night was irrelevant, but I am pretty sure that they were there to see Boggs.
As for the comments about walking off the field..according to the Central players Chapman told the boys to go back to the locker room and let Haywood have his moment...it wasnt out of disrespect but RESPECT. Again.. that is coming from the Central football boys.. not speculation. The pike central fans were just as upset as some of you are, until we talked to the boys and asked them why they would do that. That was when we found out he asked them to go to the locker room and let him celebrate with his team and fans. As far as Chapman goes, I seen him walk back up to Haywood to do what I can only assume was to congratulate him, however, Haywood was speaking with media, and so Chapman went back to the locker room with his boys. Im sure some of you will come back on that last comment, but you are going to believe what you want to believe. I heard the boys explain why they walked off, because there were more than a few Central parents upset about it.. but once it was explained..it was understood. Haywood deserved to celebrate with his team, so that's what happened.. it wasnt out of disrespect in any way.

The officials were pathetic. They just about let things get out of control IMO. Late hits, holding, taunting... from both sides. As for Chapman, he went beyond pathetic, the MOST classless move ever witnessed. Even if he did want to give the field to Coach Haywood, he could have atleast meet him at midfield and shook hands and then gave him his moment. He's a punk and anyone that supports him is too. I mean no disrespect for Central fans because the few I talked to were upset with him over more than this.

I find it hilarious that all of the Belfry fans are yelling disrespect when at LAST YEARS game against Pike Central the BELFRY boys walked off the field without shaking hands. Hi pot meet kettle?? Yet all we ever heard about was how a goal post was spit on by a Central player.. completely ludicrous. Always DRAMA, you won, good game, congrats to Haywood. Just enjoy the victory and stop whining over things you know nothing of. I spoke to one of the PCC boys after the game as well, and they backed up the statements about Chapman wanting to give Haywood his moment. Chapman also DID try to go to Haywood after and congratulate him, but there was a lot of media there as well as other fans. I seen that one myself. Since we are on the subject of disrespect, I find it pretty disrespectful that you have ADULTS waving signs in the faces (literally) of students and other fans, and yelling foul comments to central fans and cheerleaders. Its one thing to have spirit.. but cussing at young kids and students, when you have clearly won the game, is rude and uncalled for.. :please::lame:

What a night to be a Belfry Pirate!!! There are no words to express the pride I feel tonight!
First, I have to start at the top and that is Coach Haywood. He is a man of true integrity, morals, and most importantly FAITH! He has, does, and will always represent Belfry and the community with class and respect. Tonight at the celebration at CAM Stadium after the game, Coach Haywood gave a speech in which he first thanked God, then the boys who play/played to game to achieve those wins, then his assitant coaches, then his co-workers, student body, and the community, then last, but not least, his wife. He wasn't arrogant, but humble as always. He is a great man and one that deserves all of the accolades bestowed upon him.
Second, let's talk game: The Belfry Pirates rolled into Pike Central and took care of business. They wanted to get that win, not only for Coach Haywood, but for the District Title as well. The offense ran extremely well tonight. Trey Willis, Josh Dixon, Justin Johnson (even though he received a chicken **** cheap shot) Tyler Williams..just to name a few, ran it all over the field. As for defense, there were great hits from Gary Runyon, Ghormley, Mulins, Messer, Thacker, Dotson and the rest of the Pirate D. Also, congrats to Ghormley on that interception! BTW, the way #51 from Pike Central was holding Howie Dotson all night, I thought he was going to have to ask Howie to prom or something! Boggs has a very good arm and Shouse can get open quick! I would like to thank the Belfry Pirate Football team for entertaining and representing the Belfry Community the way you do every Friday night!
Third, the very disappointing (but not surprising) attitude and disrespect from Chapman! Can someone please sign him up for for lessons in class and sportsmanship? Win or lose, you do it as a man. What is he teaching these kids? I'm sure some of them wanted to congratulate Coach Haywood on his success. I'm sure most of their parents would have expected them to shake hands as all classy, self respecting athletes do at the end of a game, but Chapman made them look like very sore losing, classless, unsportsmanlike, little boys! I don't blame the kids, I blame the adults who are suppose to teach them better. The principal should have stepped up and made them shake hands whether Chapman wanted them to or not. As far as Chapman maybe wanting Coach Haywood to "have his time" I don't buy that one little bit. Coach Haywood and the boys were heading over to shake hands with them. Heck, even the annoying announcer didn't even congratulate Coach Haywood over the loud speaker. Ridiculous!

Bull!! You must have went to a different game than I did last year. The Belfry boys shaked hands with Central and Coach Haywood walked to center field and shook hands with chapman. Make any excuse you want. I know of what I witnessed. Whether the central boys shook hands or not, chapman should have. As for Belfry fans "yelling foul comments" sorry to hear that. They do not represent the entire fan base, just as a few does not represent the entire fan base for Central. As I said before chapman is a punk and any that support is the same. :dontthink

This is all totally uncalled for. I am not defending anyone. Pure gossip and speculation. Too much drama for a bunch of adults, it's like the drama on a little league cheeleading squad.
I thought this thread was about Belfry and PC. Not about their coaches, there is another thread for that. Go elsewhwere.

Arguing about this is completely useless, and a waste of time. As far as the picture above.. They may be in a line.. but Belfrys fans stormed the field. So yes, they may have lined up originally to shake hands.. but I do not think they did.. and if you talk to the pike central players they will tell you themselves that Belfry did NOT shake hands last year.. Im done arguing about this. Congrats to Haywood, and the Belfry team.. As far as Pike Central goes.. Its on to PBurg next week. Keep your heads up & good luck!!

Evidently, you're the one not letting it go since this is your 3rd or 4th post already! We don't need to find ways to insult Pike Central, they do a pretty good job of it themselves. Trust me, we know exactly how to celebrate a win, we just do it with class.
Did you not read my entire post? I positively commented on Boggs and Shouse. I will stand behind my statement that Chapman needs some lessons in class though..not based solely on this ballgame either. Now, would you like to discuss the game or are you going to police the entire thread on what we perceive to be incorrect assumptions?
