Thoughts ??
#2
Knott should be in the top 3 for sure.
#3
I think this was pre-Rhodes and pre-Paige at PCC. Both lists take on a dramatically different look with all of the transfers that are now here.
#4
KCC with Justice is a solid #2, I think.
#5
Agreed. Perry would still be a top but paige and some others would have the top 10 player coulmn lookin different.
#6
^Your right..
Cordia is hands down #1 after the transfers.

Nahh. Like I've said before pcc is #1 until proven otherwise. Cordia would for sure b top 5 though.
#8
i put denniston at 4 braxton beverley is a phenomonal but only averaged 8 points a game sawyer over 24ppg
#9
kryptonite,
Do you so happen to have the Cats' pause for the 13th and 15th regions?

And I would like to see this list updated a little, but for the most part it is accurate
#10
Will it be updated before the cats pause comes out? If not it will be very disappointing.

My Priorities are:
1)God
2)Family
3)Cougar Athletics!

Everything else doesn't matter![/COLOR]

Did Wolfe win a game last yr???

Hazard and Letcher in front of Knott Central and Breathitt?? The top ten players look about right for now. Until we actually see the other transfers for Cordia and Perry play(if they get eligible) then you can't just throw them on the list. Also, Cameron Justice should be in the top players somewhere..

1.Perry (until someone beats the Region Champs)
2.Knott
3.Buckhorn

Drop Off

4.Breathitt
5.Letcher
6.Hazard
Then a drop off for the rest of the region(excluding Cordia if they can get their players eligible)

Question: Why is someone from the 13th Region ranking the 14th Region teams and players?
#14
Could we get some other regions posted? Thanks.

Justice didn't play in the region last year, did he? The coaches do the voting every year. The story says it.
The same person has done it for over 10 years. You know any good sports writers in the 14th Region?

Gimme Braxton over Sawyer....
All day...
Err day.

8 ppg vs 24ppg is something to look at....
but that's about all it is in this case.

Beverly didn't truly come on until midway to late through last season.
He was a great ball-handler and a solid decision-maker at the beginning of the season and that bought him more playing time and more opportunities within the offense as the year went on.

By the time the Postseason came there wasn't a better PG in the Region and obviously he was the best player to suit up at Memorial Gym this past year at Region since he left with the hardware to prove it.

Imma use one of your own Ballers!

THATS NOT HAPPENING!

Breathitt's ranking depends heavily on if the three football players stick with the basketball team this year, they didn't last year. Also Alex Hamilton is listed as the 8th best player in the region and he may not be starting depending on how he has improved defensively under coach Fugate, those two weren't seeing eye to eye this summer on the defensive end of the court.

We really want have a good idea of Breathitt's team until the Bobcats are knocked out of the state football playoffs. I think they could be a top four team or they could be a middle of the pack team at about 8 or 10.

Agreed, he did average about 17-18 pts a game during district and regional play. Thats when it really counts.

Letcher, and Hazard should be above Breathitt. No one is going to throw Cordia in there, but once the season starts i'm sure a lot of people will be surprised.

That's gonna be a big negative.

Guess I should have worded it differently . Alex is a good player but 8 in the region is a little high, maybe 15 or so would be more accurate.

Either way unless he has dedicated himself to both ends of the court he may not see as much time as he did last year, assuming the football players play of course.

IMO:

Teams
1) Perry Central
2) Knott Central
3) Buckhorn
4) Hazard
5) Letcher Central
6) Breathitt County
7) Leslie County
8) Wolfe County
9) Lee County
10) Estill County

Players
1) Zach Davis (Knott County)
2) Matt Day (Buckhorn)
3) Braxton Beverly (Perry Central)
4) Bj Combs (Hazard)
5) Cameron Justice (Knott County)
6) Dalton Cornett (Perry Central)
7) Jordan Olinger (Hazard)
8) Hobert Asher (Leslie County)
9) Sawyer Denniston (Wolfe County)
10) Logan Johnson (Letcher Central)

Players (with Jaysean Paige playing)
1) Jaysean Paige (Perry Central) - I've got to know him and play ball with him a few times over the last few weeks. (he's good friends with my brother)... The kid can play... Not NBA like a few people around Perry County has said but he can really play tho...

^Cordia fans may get a little touchy over them not being in your top 10 ekff.

This was made during summer ball, was made well before Rodrick got the job.

willabeast23 Wrote:saywer 9th again the boy had a 52 point game last year!

I was the one who put him 9th... I know he can score...

But I don't know I can say he's better then Davis, Day, Beverly, Combs, Justice, Olinger, Cornett, or Asher...
