I remember 2003. Sad thing is, that was the first game of the season and there were giant dead spots all the way down the center of the field. Those are gone now for the most part and even though i've not seen the field this week, it should be in pretty decent shape for Friday, especially if it doesn't rain.

I remember seeing Whitley's field in 04 and it was a fantastic surface. Seen it again in 2009 and thought the same thing, the janitors do a great job on it. I thought Whitley was going to build a new field across the road from the school, what happened there?

That plan was canned due to some political reasons. Can't really say I am too upset unless they were going to build a state of the art stadium with the best of fields (I would say the fake grass turf but that would probably benefit the opponents more than Whitley)

I hope one day they upgrading the football stadium/field, but I like the current location.

Somerset 3-3 ( I've said all year this is a very weak team. Its finally showing. Their wins 0-6 West Jessimine, 2-4 Pulaski, and 3-2 Hazard which Somerset couldn't beat again if they played 10 times. )

I know Whitley has won 3 in a row. And I don't mean to burst bubbles, but you guys have sure got your voices back at the wrong time. Rain, sleet, or snow Whitley leaves Paul Ray Alexander field with a loss this Friday. The real question and discussion should only be by how much.

IDK about you all but i played at Whitley just like Colonel4life (actually with him) and i must say all we ever did was run the ball, and i HATED rain, i believe it makes it much more difficult to get a good footing to block good.

And luckily for us, it makes the game much better for us to watch.

BTW, for you PCC fans interested, Whitleys starting tailback and nose guard are out with injuries.
These are two of our leaders and some of the very few upperclassmen we have. Nichols (Tailback) opens up the middle for Bryant a lot and keeps the defense honest and keeps them from keying on bryant.
Hopefully some young kids will step up.

The only way that Whitley wins this game is to keep PCC's passing game somewhat in check.....I don't think they can completely stop it. I think they have a good chance, and here's my game prediction. There will be some hard collisions between the hashes.

I don't "blame" any loss Perry has on anything
If we lose, we weren't the better team that night.
