Southwestern has always had a nice facility... but it doesnt matter what type of weight room you have, its the size of heart your players have!

Yes, Ashland always in the past has had one of the best high school weight rooms I've known of. Over the years, we've consistently kept bringing in new and better equipment. This particular past season, due to a generous private donation to the team, an ALL BRAND NEW weightroom was able to be installed. I still haven't seen it, but from what I've been told, it's amazing. I'm sure some of the younger Tomcats on the board can fill in the details.

Yes, it's quite an amazing weight room. Over $30,000 was spent on the new equipment we got. We got rid of some of the old weight room equipment, which was much needed. We got new dumbbells, weights, bars, benches, leg press machines, and a couple ab machines as well. Some of that money was also spent on the locker room, which was completely remodeled. New carpet was put in, and new lockers were put in as well.

Here are some of Belfry's weight room. The rubber floor is set to be put down after holiday break.

If you want to check out a nice weight room check out LC, It looks a little like Belfrys with the way the weights are lined up but, its big enough to practice inside out of the weather if the choose, it has a batting net that dropps down from above for the baseball team and soft ball team, has public restrooms and consecions for the baseball games, just really nice.

Would LOVE to see pictures of THIS place...as well as Pburg's.

By the way, what kind of facilities do they have at Pikeville? How does it compare to Paintsville's "tin-can?" (Also, would be good for people to see Painstville's if anybody out there has pics of it. Pretty unique place.)

What about JCHS weight room?
#26
well here is a picture of the outside to lazy to get out of car and go inside
#27
Pikeville has a very nice weightroom and they are getting all new equipment very soon. For anyone that knows how the Pikeville weightroom is set up...it is going to be expanded in the next few years. It will be a 2 story facility..the top floor will be the current weightroom looking out over the gym and that will stay as the weightroom. Supposely there are plans to make a "cardio room" underneath the current weightroom.
#28
that sounds like something that will benefit all PHS athletes!!

SFHS weigh room sucks
