yeah unfortunately lol. i was thinking breathitt co as well.
but, i have never actually seen a list of names from mountain schools, i know perry does have a few but not many at all to be nowhere near the top. but i only know of one and that was Tewayne Willis - UK till he followed his heart and played baseball... lol

Could someone somehow post a list?
#7
Pulaski Southwestern may very well win this one surprisingly enough.

Lawrence County, Bell County, and probably Breathitt would be after them
#8
Middlesboro should be up there too.
#9
Prestonsburg

Jeremy Caudill - Kentucky
Michael Burchett - West Virginia
Wes Woods - EKU
Trevor Patton - Murray State
Nathan Leslie - Marshall

That's off the top of my head... there may be more.

Durham played at Rock.

If we go back to the beginning id say Corbin would be hard to beat in the mountains. They sent SEVERAL players to D1 schools way back in the day.

Even farther back than that, there are some families inside Corbin alone who have had 5 or 6 players going division 1 since back in the 30s and 40s.

Cumberland, Somerset, and Middlesboro have sent a few that I can recall off the top of my head. Pikeville has as well, but the two I remember most prominently are Mark Littrell and Bob Shurtleff (Wandy and UK, respectively). Cumberland sent a few, if I recall, headlined by Freddie Maggard to UK. Tony Massey from Somerset. My mind is drawing a blank on the others right now, I will look some later.

If it counts for anything, East Ridge has sent 10 players to Pikeville College in the last 3 years.
