A small plane is forced to make an emergency landing after its landing gear fails.
Officials tell 27 NEWSFIRST the plane was on its way from Lexington to Russell County when the gear failed. The pilot circled the Russell County airport for more than two hours to burn off any remaining fuel.
The plane did land safely on its belly. Nearly all of Russell County's emergency workers were on the scene.
