I hope you're right, I know they have a lot of young talent but, its going to be hard for the Maroons to rebound from losing 18 seniors that accounted for about 80% of their offense. Should be interesting to see how they do this year!

Honestly, I know everyone has hazard and beechwood/mayfeild, in the title game, but this year, I do believe that the Harlan ind. Green dragons will replace the bulldogs of hazard this year. Last season the dragons were within a touchdown, leading some parts of the game against hazard before the game took an ugly turn with dirty play from hazard. Also, in the grid last Friday, Harlan played bell very very strong and were very aggresive on D, along with a very effective passing and hardnose rushing game. Last season the dragons only lost two starters both ways, and with some skilled freshmen and advancing juniors and seniors, this team is a force in 1A play, mark my words.
They will replace hazard for the next two years and set a high standard for the program. I'm from across the mountains in pikeville, but I've seen these kids for the past three years, I've seen them come together, I've seen them defeat a Sheldon Clark team in a scrimmage a couple weeks ago, I've seen them play bell hard, and I've seen their bodies fill out, this teams bodies and hearts have filled out to what they need to win a state title over the past three years. Harlan folk have waited on this team since they were in 8th grade, and added about 7 very talented county kids to the mix. Special year for the green dragons!
I say Harlan Vs. Mayfeild

Bell may be on their way down, but don't count them out this year. You can never count Belfry out as long as Hayward is there. Harlan Co. will make it this year too.

Yes, and that's Harlans strong point
passing the ball, and the defense is beyond aggresive!
you obviously haven't watched HHS's offence put up 30-40 a game

Harlan could have a shot at beating Hazard this year. But i dont think they will. Harlan will get there measuring stick friday against Pikeville to see where they stand. Hazard killed Pikeville last season and Pikeville beat Harlan by 30. Pikeville should be much improved from last year and i know Harlan will be. I say Pikeville wins next week by atleast 3 to 7 points.

Ptp71 Wrote:this may be the most stupid prediction i have ever had from anyone on this website, harlan never had the lead against hazard and they never will, get a life
Harlan did score the first TD and did lead 7-0, after that Hazard scored two in a row and Harlan never got the lead again. It was 28 - 20 at the start of the fourth but the depth of Hazard took over and they won going away 50-20.
Don't recall the so called "dirty" play that Yeah you know is referring; maybe they can shed some light on that comment.
