South Floyd.

How can you say that South Floyd is overrated?.. If anything there underrated! Everyone had them to be down this year, and not make any noise in the 15th at all, and they've already beated Johnson Central who is a GREAT ball team, and Hazard who is one of the top teams in the 14th. South Floyd is a great ball team and deserves some credit. They can beat any team in the 15th region by 10+ if they all play to there potential and not get so frustrated over everything. They have the most talented team in the 15th IMO, and probably the deepest bench if Coach Barry Hall needs it.

definatley paintsville, for reallllll

It's December so it is hard to say anyone is over rated yet. There is alot of season left and anyone could come alive at any time. But so far I'd have to say the biggest disapointment would be Betsy Lane. Everyone gave them huge props early on, but I think they may have been a lil over hyped, but like I said it is early and they are capable of turning it around.

South Floyd is by no means overrated. They were expected to be a bit "down" after losing Stanley and Little down low, but Ryan Little is just as good. They have one of the best 3-gaurd tandems in Eastern kentucky with Ryan Johnson, Mason Hall, and Ethan Johnson. Just like basketballstar stated, if anything, the Raiders are underrated. With wins against Johnson Central and Hazard, they are by far the #1 team in the 15th Region!!!
Paintsville is probably one of the most overrated teams in the state of Kentucky. Yes, Landon Slone is the best player in the region, but one player doesn't make a team, especially in basketball. Eventually, teams will start putting the "D" on Slone (if the refs don't get involved) and forcing the others to contribute (which they do very little of). This team can't continue to rely on one player, and when they figure that out, I'm afraid for you Paintsville fans, it will be tto late.

I think Paintsville is overrated - but only slightly.

I don't see how Paintville is overrated at this point, preseason rankings aside. They have beaten 2 district foes and one regional one. They lost there first game on the road to a solid team on 4 days of practice after football. I don't think anyone expected them to go undefeated. They are 3--1 at this point and should challenge for a district and region title. I do think the teams in the 57th distirct and 15th region are very close this year without anyone really distancing themselves from the pack in the early season. A slip on any given night (like at LC) could/will result in a L.

Good post. I can't disagree at all. I said that Paintsville may be overrated, but only slightly. I agree totally with your assessment of the 57th District and 15th Region is dead on!

paintsville will win the 15th region this year with 3 starting sophomores and they'll be playing 5 on 8 most games

man what is up?.....SF is underrated.....apparently you havent read all of about 10,000 threads on here about how SF will be the best team in teh 15th and will go all the way to Rupp....theres no way they are underrated but they are highly overrated b/c of the hype and they are a very inconsistent ball club

SF is not overrated. Everyone on here sais they suck and some people have them ranked like anywhere from 5th to 8th. I think that everybody is just jealous and want to talk bad about them because there such a small school, and they have been so dominate over the last 6 years. Talk about them all you all want but come tourny time we'll see whos on top.

IMO Prestonsburg is very, very underrated, keep in mind in factoring this that they have played all 4 games on the road in very tough places to play. Their two losses have come by a combined total of three points, with one game going into overtime against a team that has won by an average victory margin of 27 points against the 15th Region. By the way, that game against June Buchanan was on a neutral court, yet everyone wants to believe that it was a fluke. Wake up. A school from the 57th or 58th District will walk away Regional Champions; however, it's sad that the Regional Championship squad may not escape with their own District Championship. That's how stiff the competition is, nothing biased about this post.
