Jody Demling's Class of 2013 Rankings
#1
The Class of 2013 in the state of Kentucky is already generating some major interest with big-time Division I schools all over the country.

I would imagine before this class is signed, most of the traditional powers in college football will be taking a shot at sneaking a few players out of the Bluegrass State.

And that will begin at Trinity High School where the Shamrocks have a deep class of Division I talent.

The top player at Trinity and in the state is James Quick (photo), the aptly-named wide receiver who made first-team All-State as a sophomore.

Here’s a look at the top 25 prospects:

• 1. James Quick, WR Trinity: Could be one of the best prospects the state has ever produced. Had 1,110 yards and 15 TDs receiving as a sophomore.

• 2. Kyle Bolin, QB, Lexington Catholic: Big-time arm, great field awareness and has a ton of major colleges looking.

• 3. Ryan White, DB, Trinity: When colleges come in to take a look at Quick, most of the time they also fall for White. He’s going to be a star.

• 4. Hunter Bivin, OL, Apollo: A big kid (6-7, 290) with a ton of potential.

• 5. Jonathan Jackson, LB, Mayfield: The 5-foot-10, 200-pound led the Cardinals in tackles as a sophomore and will only get better.

• 6. Jason Hatcher, DE, Trinity: Has been ranked in some national rankings and has the potential to be a major-college signee.

• 7. Karl Roesler, DL, St. Xavier: He’s been tearing it up on the camp circuit, including MVP honors at the "Football University" deal in Lexington.

• 8. Dennis Oxendine, DB, Lafayette: Had seven picks and was named first-team All-City as a sophomore in Lexington.

• 9. Joeshawn Starks, WR, Lone Oak: Speedster had 40 catches for 709 yards and five TDs as a sophomore.

• 10. Dalyn Dawkins, RB, Trinity: Son of the former U of L star Ralph Dawkins will be the main ball carrier for Shamrocks this season.

• 11. Brandon Moore, WR/RB, St. Xavier

• 12. Travis Wright, QB, Trinity

• 13. Ryan Timmons, WR/RB, Franklin County

• 14. Lemondrey Clemons, RB. St. Xavier

• 15. Logan Starnes, DB, Pulaski Southwestern

• 16. LaBront Scott, DE, Mayfield

• 17. J.K. Howard, OL-DL, Garrard County

• 18. Marcus Cosby, ATH, Bardstown

• 19. Patrick Sermersheim, St. Xavier, DB

• 20. Jeffrey Canady, WR, Knox Central

• 21. Dalton Overbay, LB, Harlan

• 22. Jack Sherry, QB, South Oldham

• 23. Donovan McCoy, ATH, Highlands

• 24. Clark Kissick, QB, Bath County

• 25. Jac Collinsworth, WR, Highlands

These are such a joke!

I am going to go out on a limb and say that Trinity will be extremely good the next two years.

I think its pretty solid near the top. It seems a little heavy on St.X kids who I have never heard about though. Kind of hard to have rankings that everyone agrees on
