How good does everyone think Valley will be this upcomin year, and who will the district...

Shelby Valley will obviously be young this year, and I think depth could be an issue for them. I think winning the 15th last year has to help with confidence.
It's hard to guess how the district will play out without knowing what will happen at East Ridge. I think all three teams will be capable of winning district.

Shelby Valley is young and very very talented. They will only get better and better as the year goes on.

I hope to see 4 region championships in a row! but this team is young, heard phelps beat them earlier in summer. But hopefully them boys realize that what happens in summer dont matter. Goodluck Coach Newsome & Doe Doe.

I still think that they are one more year away from absolutely dominating the region again. However, last year was suppose to the chance for everyone else to have their time and Valley somehow stole the glory yet again. I do not know how much of a drop off from the rest of region and then how much a gain Valley will get but I would say that they are slowly inching towards the top, well within that 3-6 range in the region. Next year will be the time I completely say that they should have no problem with the region and getting back down to Rupp for another shot.

Shelby Valley should have even more of a tough time this year than they did last year. One one hand, young players like Richardson, Belter, and Newsome will be a year stronger and better. But they also lost some good senior leadership in Rusty and Trey Roberts, Brett Reynolds, and Jacob Robinson. Last year's roster only included 3 juniors and one sophomore, and out of those 4, only Logan Lucas was a major contributor.
The upshot is that Valley will be heavily dependent on freshmen and sophomores this year. They are certainly a talented group, but I still think they are likely another year away from competing for region again. As for district, that's a different story. If ER really is without Cam Justice, they will take a big step backward this year. And Pikeville lost a lot as well. The 59th really shapes up as a fairly weak district this upcoming season.
