I thought I heard someone say, last night, it was today at 1pm.

“Relax, all right? Don’t try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, they’re fascist. Throw some ground balls – it’s more democratic.”

The draw is today at 1:00 p.m. at Stone Crest Park in Prestonsburg, Ky. Is it true that dsitrict champs will draw from runner-ups is that how a blind draw works? Looks to me like a tough tournament with Pikeville, Lawrence, and Paintsville all capable of beating anyone in that region. What would everyone like to see?

Give me anybody but Paintsville. Two games ,Two runs and Too much. Third time may be the charm. Like I said give me anybody but the Tigers. Some teams have played the Tigers enough to be invited to dinner and that is scary also. I am also concerned about the dark colored cats. They have already proven they have good capacity. Coach Simpkins has displayed a change agent presentation. So if it is a cakewalk that one desires, beware of the team you wish for. You might just get them.

This 15th Reg. Tourney almost brings back some memories. What do you think Hook? Go back about five or six years.

In order to be the best you have to beat the best is what most people say. Stonecrest is going to witness some really good competitive games, and whoever represents the 15th region in the state tournament should be able to win some games. The 15th region usually is represented well in Applebee's

Couldnt agree more CH. Paintsville has won 9 of their last 12 by a total score of 69-34. Their bats have come alive as of late, and more importantly their pitching has been very consistent. This bunch is capable of beating anybody in the region on any given night. Belfry will be a darkhorse in the tournament also. With all the hype over the Pikeville and Lawrence County programs (rightfully so) Belfry has put together a pretty decent season, and are always tough come tournament time. Remember they were the runner up last year in the region to Pikeville, and they were mercied if I'm not mistaken. That could prove to be a little motivation for the Pirate bunch to prove that they belong with the upper echelon teams in the 15th.

So PT, who ya see on the bump for Pikeville against Paintsville? Randy Maynard did well against them earlier in the season, but I don't see him getting the starting nod in this one. Cecil, Burton, or Hamilton? Or will Priode hold back one of those just in case and go with Maynard again? Also, do you know the dates the tourney starts?

Well, we know Belfry can score runs, just don't know if they have enough pitching to keep even Lawrence County from scoring more. Any thoughts?

I would go Cecil. Hopefully, not likely, Pikeville can get a big lead and bring in Maynard.
