I think this was the final score. I know Prestonsburg was defeated by one. Huge freethrows at the end by Valley clinched it for them. Prestonsburg didn't have a timeout at the end to use after a huge 3 by Leslie to cut it to 1. Valley stayed out of bounds and let time expire. Good win by the Wildcats and once again P-burg blew a nice lead. They jumped up by around 9 in the third quarter and couldn't hang on. But still a nice showing against a very underrated Valley team. Good luck to both teams.

Leslie had two big 3's at the end of the game with seconds left. SV played a good game they had 4 fouls in the second half to Prestonsburgs 14. Not whining just the facts.

Well the only thing i can think of to say about this game was that pburg had the win in sight, but just lost another lead. Mitchel Riddle played a great game for the wildcats tonight. He made a few huge 3s and it seemed when he drove to that basket, it was with a purpose. He was very impressive! Lewis Barnette had another good game for pburg. He had many run outs and took the ball strong to goal for some nice lay-ups. Sean Leslie also had a good game for the blackcats. He made 2 crazy 3s at the end of the game, and also had many blocks thoughout the game. He was a defensive threat. Congrats to valley, and c'mon blackcats forget this one and keep looking forward to your next game! I know you will bounce back after this loss and get back to your winning ways! I still believe in you!

Good for Shelby Valley overall..I was wanting to get out to this game but didn't get to...Glad to see Prestonsburg didn't name the score as predicted by some people...

Give credit to Valley, they are a very dangerous team. It may have just been them playing at home, but whatever it was, I don't think it was the same team that played tonight then in there other games. Prestonsburg was in control most of the game, but once again they come out and have a horrible second half. If they can figure out someway to play the second half like they do the first, they would be much better off. Good games by both Leslie and Barnette. Leslie controlled the paint tonight, he probably had around 7 blocks and Barnette had another good scoring night. I'm not blaming the loss on this, but the officiatiing was horrible. They missed a lot of calls and the fouls in the second half were a little lump sided. I know that Prestonsburg had over 12 fouls and Valley only had 4.
Congrats Valley

I wonder if Valleys coach will mention the difference in fouls like he did when they played Hazard? I would say not. Anyway sounds like a good game for both teams and a nice bounce back game for Valley.

Great win SV, sad I couldnt be there to see a great game

Both of these teams are down big time this year..i dont look for neither one to make any noise in the 15th this season

Great second half tonight by Valley, I'm a big Prestonsburg fan, but it seems to me that when Prestonsburg gets a big lead they start to play scared. Anyone else pick up on this?
12-17-2005, 04:13 AM
yea i do thats why they wont be able to do anything this year in the 15th
12-17-2005, 12:22 PM
I just want to comment about the foul situation..In the first half, Prestonsburg was in the bonus early in the 2nd quarter..so it is not like they were cheated or the fouls were called for Valley all night..I think the first half fouls ended up Valley 11 P-burg 4..
12-17-2005, 01:01 PM
I figured that P-Burg would get beat in this one. Keep it up Valley!
12-17-2005, 01:26 PM
Fanatic of the 15th U R an Idiot! Pburg is not down at all this year! They might not have as much talent as in the past but they play hard as a team and actually care about winning unlike some other pburg teams.

I agree... I don't see how you think these two teams can't make noise in the region.. because the region is pretty wide open this year IMO
Congrats on the win Valley!

I was at the game and if it wasnt for 3 players pburg would of got killed
Lewis Barnette- played awsome need to drive to the basket more often
Nick Mcguire- Played realy well inside and can drive the lane also
Sean Leslie- hit some HUGE 3's at the end of the game to make it a 1 point game
IM not one to blame someone for a loss BUT honestly the refs were horrible....one of them especially.....i dont think he knows what a foul/walk is.....but congrats VALLEY on the win way to fight back from being down early
