how do they make this work with Title 9?
05-04-2011, 11:47 AM
What is wrong with title 9 in this situation??? they got 120 million dollars, 60 million went to a football/cheerleading stadium (has enough seats for boys and girls), the other 60 million went to a fine arts facility for both the whole school. Don't see nothing wrong with it!

That is amazing.

good for them

If it was anywhere but Texas i'd be shocked. What IS shocking is a 600 piece marching band, that's bigger than most high schools in eastern Kentucky.

Why with a conservative estimate of $5 ticket prices for football games and along with other events the stadium will be used for they will make more money than their 30 year bond payments. If the school district has adequate buildings it makes perfect sense because the extra money will generate more income for the school district. So no its not stupid its actually spending money to make money and help the disctrict's general fund.

We build 7 million dollar basketball gyms for our teams and they are only 3/4 full at best during a regular season rivalry game. Oh I forgot the intense P.E. programs going on for all students. My bad. One key here is that they average 14000 fans per game. The other and most important key element is the people voted for it. If someone gets sixty three percent of the votes in an election it is called a landslide. More power to them.

exactly, they could attract plenty of big sponsorships with a facility like that and they'll be using it everyday
