Pike Central 2011
#31
Let me clear this up . Boggs and Shouse will be playing football in the up coming season. They are ELIGIBLE to play all sports. Now lets talk football. The Hawks will have a very good team. We are stronger and faster then any team pike central has every had.

Everybody from Pike Central keeps stating this , but I haven't seen anything from the KHSAA. I feel for the kids and for the parents, and wish the KHSAA would go ahead and make it official so that everybody can drop this subject. By the way , what relationship is Tori Shouse , the Breathitt Co. girls basketball player, to Cory?

You know I have never heard of the KSHAA telling anybody anything. I am the Father of Alan Boggs and I am telling Everybody on here it is over the boys will be playing sports for pike central from this point on. I think Tori dad is cory dads uncle. So please let it go. Thank you .

Shouse has an athletic family, both Cory and Tori are good players in their respective sports. Your son is a good quarterback and I'm sure he will be playing on saturdays after high school, and I hope you won't have to pay a dime. The KHSAA has really made a mess of the whole situation regarding Pike Central, the rumors, allegations from both sides and the stress all of this has put on the kids , their parents and the community. I wish the KHSAA would release a statement and be done with it, I'm sure you most of all would like to see it in writing.

I do have it in writing.

In Hawk Fans' opinions how will the O and D lines be? The Hawks will certainly have some very good weapons littered about the skill positions and some playmakers (Shouse in particular) on the defensive side of the ball.

Anyone who read my posts last year knew I was pretty certain Belfry would defeat Central. I think Belfry will have the more talented, deeper team this season,,, but this is the first time in the history of this matchup that I legitimately feel like PC has a very good shot at pulling the upset. This game, with the way last year's panned out, will certainly be circled on Central's schedule as a must win and with it being at PC I expect PC to play their best game. The only way for them to have a shot will be if the guys in the trenches step up.

Right now I would put Belfry as a 2-3 TD favorite, but if PC can develop lineplay, that margin will close IMO.

I wanted to congratulate the Boggs family on getting this stuff behind them and wish Alan good luck in 2011. I knew them vaguely in other sports growing up, but I'm sure that me and Mr. Boggs are both too old now to remember the details Smile

Glad to have something finally certain about this. It's crazy that this will IMO be a GREAT Belfry team, but the one that has so far had the best chance to fall to the Hawks of Central High. Should be a thrilling, fun season.

From what I have heard at work, Tim Smith will 100 % be eligable. He's just a normal student at Pike Central.

I think with the two from valley Pike central will have a great chance of being a great team. jmo

So what's the lineup next year for PC gonna look like? Also, can someone with full knowledge of the situation tell me what's up with Tim Smith? Cause I thought he was a senior. No accusations or anything, just wanna know what happened?
#44
I'm just feel sorry for that Hawk Defense. Pike Central....Learn from Shelby Valley's mistakes....

Don't worry Chapman will still have his defense ran the way he wants it.

Give me a day or two and I will have it all figured up for you.

recieved notification that yesterday the KHSAA were expected to be at Pike Central to discuss something with Coach Chapman no details on what that conversation was going to be about. However, the meeting was pushed back until Thursday. In addition to confirm Mr. Bogg's story I was also notified that both Aaron and Corey are expected to play this up and coming season as notification was recieved by the KHSAA that they are eligable. Possibility that the meeting is to go over guidelines about compliance?
#48
Just notified the meeting is to be held with the parents and school admin, while Chapman was welcomed to attend. Great thanks to the source confirming and making the last touches on what this meeting is in regards to.

Did the Khsaa drive down the Mountain Parkway early enough to pick-up any of Pike Central's students on their way down? I mean if you're going to condon it, you might as well participate in it.

Maybe you should drive down there and check for the KHSAA.

Why bother they either don't have the authority to do anything about it or they don't have a problem with it. I just thought Chapman might have wanted to sleep in one day.

George W. Bush and John F. Kennedy would be so proud of Pike County Central.

More like Richard Nixon.

KHsaa was at Pike Central on thursday, and questioned some of the players.

Shouse , Boggs and Norman have all been ruled eligible for the 2011 season. They are still ruling on Tim Smith, but it looks like the final decision will be just as the others, eligible as well.

I'm pretty sure that's a long drive from Pike County(which is where the boys live) to Pike Central

Having no knowledge of a conspiracy, I am inclined to think the KHSAA investigated, interviewed and visited, eventually leaving convinced the players should be eligible based upon the evidence.
