Anybody got Old Football Pictures?
#1
Anyone have any old KY high school football pictures? Escpecially state championships and other big playoff & rivalry games. And by old, I mean not in the last years.

Reason why I'm asking is me and a couple other guys have been thinking of writing a book and/or creating a documentary on high school football in KY. even if you can't post them here, PM me and I could work something out

I have the state championship complete video from Pikeville's 3-peat from 87-89, the first one in Kentucky. I could easily make copies and mail them if that is something you all would be interested in including.

that would be something nice to have as that was the 1st 3-peat football team in KY. I'd also like to interview a player that played on one of those teams too.

now this project would start a few seasons from now (2-4 years), but alot of this stuff is good. if anyone is interested in possibly helping by being interviewed, sending suggestions and ideas, post it here and I'll work something out

There are plenty of them here. A couple of guys and I are playing around with the idea of doing a documentary (A cheap one basically for PHS fans and for fun) of those teams in the next couple years before the 25th anniversary. There are some players that are still in the area, and the Panthers' current coach was a member of the 87 team. I'll go ahead and make the copies within the next couple of weeks and store em til you need them.

The Pikeville 3-peat would be a great idea. They had some great teams that made national news.

What about the first 5-peat in Kentucky? Boyle County from 99-03. I know several players from any of those teams and could set up several interviews if needed. I believe one of teams was nationally ranked at 23rd. It's been awhile but I'm pretty positive.

This video below is of Pikeville's first state championship in 1987. The game was against the Russellville Panthers at Cardinal Stadium in Louisville.

Judge Waddell was the Highlands head football coach that preceded Homer Rice. Here is a link to a bunch of Highlands photos from his endowment fund site (pictures are during the 40s): http://www.judgewaddell.org/pics/Pictures.html

Hope it works.
