Is There Going To Be A Hatfield & Mcoy Bowl This Year???

I would assume it is a bowl game between kentucky players and west virginia players???

I was about to ask the same thing HR... the Hatfield-McCoy Bowl came to be AFTER the Kwianis Senior Bowl ended.... If I'm not mistaken, this was the "brainchild" of Matewan coach Yogi Kinder.... NOT to mention the major thread that was on here about it last football season! Smile

To be honest about it, I have not kept up with high school football, to the extent that I do Know, for about the last ten or twelve years. Since my son started his freshman year at Harlan Co.and subsequently transfered to Harlan city last season. I also am not aware of any Harlan Co. or city players that have been asked to play in that game. Not sayin' that theres not been some,just that I've been out of it and only have been a member of Bluegrassrivals.com for about a month now. I have been aware of the Border Bowl of which there was a lineman from Harlan Ind. and a couple from Harlan Co. that played in that game this past season.

I believe a few kids from Belfry were going to play, but the ones I expected to signed with Pikeville College so we'll see if that's allowed.

Why wouldn't they be?? I've known of signees from UK, James Madison, EKU, Morehead State, Pikeville, Cumberlands, Campbellsville, and Georgetown play in this game before. Why would it be different now??

It wouldn't be a joke if our KY boys would want to win, seems to me like i always hear that its not fair playing over there and they get all the calls or something of that sort, you would think that these boys would want to play one more game with other great players from other teams and have memories to last the rest of there life with(I loved playing in the old K-Bowl). Quiet putting bad info in these young boys heads and get a group of 20 to 30 good players and give Kentucky fans something to cheer about.

This is a joke. If Kentucky is going to do this, do it right. I.E have the best people coach, not Red from Betsy Layne. I seen a group of kids that could have won state for 4 years, get beat to death from horrible coaching.
