Pretty late in the game, maybe headed to greener pastures?

From this article I got that he wasn't getting the support from the higher powers and decide best to leave after having a successful season were he may can find a job. I know Adair Co high school and Caverna both still looking for a coach in the central KY area

Adair County and Caverna are a step below Casey County. You won't find anymore support there. Stephens isn't going to Adair County or Caverna.

I agree they are basically like Casey if you look at the last 10 years and worse if you look at last season. I didn't say he was going there I just though some names out there. After reading the article it sure sounded like he wanted to coach again. Where do you see him ending up duck?

From how he sounds in the article? Liberty, minus football and adding in a lot more me and family time which I would guess is much needed and earned. Pouring your heart into a program for 12 years, and not seeing it get supported like it should can take its toll on a man. Kudos to him on his decision. I'd say you will see Andy Stephens show up on the coaching radar within the next year, though, either as a head coach or somebody's right hand man.
The unfortunate part about this whole situation, is here Casey County had a man that was 1) From there 2) Played there 3) was eaten up with football and wanting to make the Casey County program the best it could be, with 4) No intentions of ever stepping down or leaving for somewhere else, so long as the administration was doing everything that they could to also help make Casey County the best it could possibly be. Unless the administration at Casey County changes their tune, this will turn back into a job that is used as nothing more than a stepping stone. Somebody will come in, try to get a 7 win season within their first couple years and bounce for greener pastures unless things change.

Great post Duck and I think thats the problems you see with alot of football around the state of KY. The support that football programs get in sometimes make me sick to my stomach! The man is obvious the most successful coach in Casey Co. history and took a program that was the laughing stock of the state to winning 8 games last season and winning a playoff game. You think its a chance they will gibe him what he wants and he comes back to coach next season? With 8 starters returning on both sides of the ball seem to have the ability to win more games.

I hear he already has another job lined up and did so before he resigned!
