I completely understand, but you are forgetting the "Michael Jordan" stipulation. Nearly every contract for a player that signs an NBA contract has the addition of the education payment. Lebron James could have afforded to get a college degree from any college in the world, but it was the Cleveland Cavaliers that paid LBJ's tuitition for OSU!

The NBA teams now have tuition payment for any player who does not complete college. It is paid directly to the school and never goes to the player. This was implemented in MJ's contract in 83' and has been a staple of NBA contracts ever since.

Thus, a player who gets drafted and signs and NBA contract has their college paid for.

You need to bump it up just a little bit. No one has stated NCAA basketball is a career. You should be able to read that clear enough, if not let me know and I'll repeat it. I'm not a college basketball player and never had any interest in playing in the NBA, if I had the talent I would much rather get my Education in college then go to the NBA and add that extra pressure on me. You'd be surprised.

In the NCAA you can have 13 players on scholarship. UK currently has 11 players on scholarship counting Kanter. These scholarships are one year renewable.Thus Polson will go back to a walk-on as he comitted as..Kanter is ineligble...Harellson is a senior so that makes UK having 8 players on scholarship..They have four incoming freshman..that makes 12 with 1 left over...

He'd have to earn playing time and he won't find out if he's going to start until they start practicing and by then it would be too late to back out. But I meant to put Davis starting at the 5, not Jones(I believe he is gone). Sorry about that.

When he would get stuck guarding Zeller or Sullinger he would struggle. He just doesn't have the height or the power to do it.

I would hope that every recruit would be willing to ride the bench to help the team, and maybe it turns out to be a John Hood or Stacey Poole that just rides the pine and waits for their turn. Who knows.

Yeah, UK is not going to have a true center next year. I read that Wiltjer will probably make the transition to the 5, but I don't know if he'll start.

If Harrellson was able to irritate Sullinger as much as he did in their match-up then Sullinger would get shut down by a few of the NBA's guys. Sullinger, a great talent, needs to stick around and add a few more features to his game IMO, possibly a mid-range jump shot or more of a face-up game period.

I agree man.
I wouldnt takle Sullinger as the top pick and i wouldnmt take irvin either, to much left about his game we didnt see this year.
Im thinking Knight and Jones are gone so thats 3 players gone along with probably Kanter off of scholarship and we could always yank one from Polson or Hood if needed.
