Current Morehead baseball player and former Boyle county hurler Garrick Whittle has been diagnosed with cancer. Started with a lump on his back. His family has been sharing this info on facebook so I am confident they would not mind me sharing with the baseball community. If you are someone who believes in prayer please say an extra one for this outstanding young man.

He had a great start for the opening weekend. Surgery was Tuesday. His return is still unknown for the rest of this season

I to will be praying for this young man.I also heard from a teammate that he threw well on that carolinia trip. Wow!!! just Wow!!!!I trust the story has a good ending.
