How are they doing? Anyone standout as a contributor to varsity next year?

Sam Robinson has been playing some varsity lately. Other players are likely to get some time next year. LCC only loses one senior next year so playing time will not be easy to come by. Will make for more competitive practices which can only help.

i heard that they were i believe 13 or 14-1, i'm not 100% sure, i know Estill County is either 11 or 12 & 1, these two teams are suppose to play in Estill on saturday as a triple header with Freshmen, JV & Varsity

They have a good core of Freshmen. Sounds good.

Does Coach Hammonds know what kind of eighth graders are coming in next year?

LCC freshman are a high flying up and down group. Very fun to watch!

True, but the group we have now, are high flyers, and play better when running the ball, but yet they have been grounded, and we walk the ball up the floor go figure!:HitWall:

Robinson could take Roark place in the starting lineup next year if he works hard in the offseason.
I think they have lost a couple of games to Hazard and beat them once. Overall a very good group of freshman that can go 9-10 deep. Hazard is the only team that has beat them they are 9-2 or 10-2 I think.
I believe a couple of the freshman could get some varsity minutes next year.

No clue if he knows what's coming in I believe he has watched all of them play once this year at a Panorama early in the season.
They are not as physical as the freshman squad however they are more quicker and smaller with the exception of a couple big players. They are more guard oriented then the freshman class. Once they combine into one team they should be competitive with most teams in Eastern Kentucky.

Thanks for the info guys. Working nights and only spending about 5 hours a day with family makes it hard to get out to the games. Son goes to West Whitesburg Elementary, and I see them walk to the buses but don't know who the real athletes are down there little lone the rest of the middle schools in the county.

these kids all played at different elementary schools last year in the county and one transfered from another county. When these kids get play together they will be very good. They are athletic and have good size
Dillon Kinser----6'3"
Willie Smith---- 6'4"
Sam Robinson--6'2"
Sexton---------6'1"
Sizemore-------6'
Boggs 5'9" (point guard) these are the starters depending how they match-up
they have 3 more kids 6'3" that comes off the bench. All 11 players are good. They scored 103 points against Belfry this year, their only loss was to Hazard a team which they beat in the Pike Central tournament for the championship. Letcher only has 1 senior on the varsity so things should be solid for the next few years.
