I am very impressed with how the Dog's have turned it around. I was beginning to think this team was going to way underachieve. It's nice seeing how they are playing now.

I said coming in to this season that Holmes would be better than a lot of people think.

People fail to realize that this senior class has been very successful at the JV level. They lost in the JV championship as sophomores and I believe they were in the JV semi's last year as well.

Hayes, Gray, and Mayfield are all three proven winners both on the AAU circuit and throughout their JV careers at Holmes. In the junior class, Dontel Rice had a huge summer averaging around 25 ppg and Charles Knox is a brut down low.

The sophomore class of Palmer, Peterson, and Coston are also very talented as well, being key members of the freshman team that lost in the region championship last year. Palmer was also a key member of that KY Elite AAu team that finished 8th at nationals.

This team isn't as talented overall as last years' squad but they are every bit as athletic and much quicker.
