I can name quite a bit that didnt. Kids go to other schools get thrown to the side. It will happen again. I will point it out in the next few years dont worry.

And I'm not even from BL.

This is a great point. But how many kids that attended BL have went on a played college sports lately? This is not a knock on BL, but not many eastern Kentucky kids are moving on to college sports (with the exception of SV from last year).

I attend many games for many different schools. Chants go on at every game (both good and bad). Rivalries bring out emotions on both sides. This includes both parents and children. BL should enjoy the victory and concentrate on the next opponent.

Attend a college rivalry game and chants are a whole lot worse than this.

15th Region is obviouisly very weak, haven't seen a team yet that impressed me enough for anyone to be thinking they could possibly have a chance any where other than the 15th.

That's your difference. Neither team could get in a good rhythm offensively.

The good news for Pikeville is you cannot play much worse offensively. Regroup and go after the big 15th title, which is in no way a longshot at this point.

I was sitting behind the goal on the far side and i will say BL outplayed Pikeville. But without a doubt, Pikeville has THE best student section in the Region. Im a graduate of 2003 and since ive been in high school, student sections ARE about insulting the opposing team. The Camo Cats didnt say much at all. I think they laughed at the score board once when they were up 3? LOL but the one thing Pikeville always had when I was there is a lean mean student section weather we won or lost. and thats what it takes to keep the spirit going because you just cant give up on your school. I for one laughed at the Bobcat Girls chant cause it was creative, yet another factor in being a great student section. Which obviously shook all you Floyd Countiers up like it was intended to.
The Rollercoaster was priceless to. Just things that stick them out from others. They way outdid BLs student section but on the floor the bobcats didnt miss much. Probably the best ive seen them play in a while. I look forward to a great Region tournament

Since when did Betsy Layne and Pikeville become a rivalry like was stated on this form a few posts ago? I graduated from Betsy Layne in 04 and have kept up with the school since then. I've never known Betsy Layne and Pikeville to have a big time rivalry. There has even been years when they haven't played. I understand Betsy Layne vs all other floyd county schools, and Pikeville against Pike Cent, Belfry and Valley.

The goal of the student section is to rattle the players heads, sorry but pburg has one of the best student sections.

Also
Betsy Layne Volleyball team invented the rollercoaster. I thought it was genius then and even when pikeville did it, I liked it.

What kids? Chase Hall is the only transfer that left Betsy Layne for Pikeville that will come back to hurt them. Tyler Daniels who started at Betsy Layne is now at South Floyd. Dylan Meade who started at Betsy Layne a long time ago is now at Pike Central. Prestonsburg is the school that usually gets the most of the talent that Betsy Layne has to offer. And last I checked, if Pikeville was such a great place to be...why is Dylan Hamilton back in Blue and White?

I am a graduate of Betsy Layne and played college basketball along with 2 other team mates that graduated with me that season. I know for a fact BL girls have had atleast 2 per year go onto play college basketball in the last 10 years...the boys teams has also had several that I can remember..atleast 1 per year from basketball. These kids do make it out of the holler and most have to work for it instead of having it handed to them!

Heard Betsy Layne had a couple players quit recently, are these the guys that just left the team?

No we lost Shawn Stegall and Mike Henson! Two great ball players hated to see them go. But the comment Chase moving hurting him. It will not Chase will do wonders wherever he will be! Just wished he was still in Blue

Dylan Meade never started at Betsy Layne.He played at Wesley through the 7th grade then went on to Mullins nowat PC

Dylan Meade was at Betsy Layne through his 4th grade year and then he transferred to Wesley. He did not start at Wesley.

I know this is off subject, but I've gotta ask to see if I might have worded this wrong. This previous post of mine, does it make it sound like I was phrasing only Chase Hall and totally ignoring the talent of Tyler Daniels and Dylan Meade or was it clear in proving Betsy Layne's talent is not going to Pikeville 90% of the time but to other schools.
