Looks like I'll be pulling for the Dore's to win the Classic now...

Knott has some athletic swingman that can make plays but don't really have a go to player now that Davis is out. Still wouldn't be surprised if they win region, that is if there guard play improves.
As for Clay, Hooker can ball, Knott had no answer for him.

I thought they should of pressured Hooker more than they did, but he is hard to stop. Guard play is a big key for Knott, someone will have to step up and take care of the ball for them to succeed. 23 turnovers is not going to get it done, everyone will pressure them now until they can prove they can handle it. Good luck to them the rest of the way.

Wow thought it would be a closer game !!

It's probably what they get for not letting someone with more experiance start at point. Why wasen't #14 for Clay Co. face guarded all night? Also, it's not that hard to beat a team when you get to stand there and hold the ball for several minutes without the other team putting pressure on them-which is what Knott let Clay Co. do.

I would of loved to see Hooker on there team last year, they would of made a run deep in the state IMO. Hooker is truly special, losing Davis really hurt them. Now when Knott needs a bucket they have no clue who to give the ball to.

For Knott county to wins games now Slone and Roberts are going to have to take control and carry the team. Then whenever shots are open for the other guys they need to knock them down. Knott will have to feed the post to Roberts more often and Slone will have to knock some 3s down and drive to the basket.

Clay looked good. Knott seem to really struggle without Davis out there. I think their chances at winning the region is a little down without Davis but if Slone can start creating his own shot, I think they could win it. Good win for Clay.

Excellent analysis. It seems that knot should have a deeper bench than this coach uses. By the way whatever happened to last years kcc coach. Woulda like to see the outcome of this game with him on the sidelines! Maybe even the outcome of the tournament?

Knott was down and let Clay just stand there and hold they ball? Looks like that time would have been better used by trying to get back in the game, not just letting it tick off?? Am I wrong?

Knott was sort of in a quandry...Stand back, slow the pace down, let Hooker get 22 and lose by 17. Or...Pressure the ball, speed up play, let hooker get 40 and lose by 35.

I think your right they would have got beat worse, but I think by standing back your not trying to win your trying not to get beat too bad and I'm not sure that's a very good message to send?

I 100% agree.

Knott County needs to feed Slone more. He can carry this team with enough touches.
