Don't they have a contract by now?

That would be a question that the Middlesboro Coaching staff would have to answer!

Im pretty sure this game has already been signed for them to play.. Which means if M'boro voids us off the schedule, then they have to forfeit which gives them a Loss and they cant reschedule another team...

I think that is only after a certain date. Maybe the first legal playing date. I believe they can do away with it now. I would still like to know where this is coming from.

If the contract has already been signed by both parties and mailed to KHSAA then Middlesboro would just have to pay the forfeit fee, then they could re-schedule another opponent.

I'm confused here. First I here Bell/Mboro is playing due to Frazier putting Bell back on the schedule. Then I hear that the NEW COACH is taking the game off ASAP. Is Frazier leaving Mboro? If not, did he have a change of heart about putting Bell back on the schedule? Someone clear this up for me if you don't care. I'm lost in all of this now....

FRAZIER is the new coach GENIUS. I would say that there's an underlining story here somewhere to cause the change of heart. I am sure that its not been mailed in yet and if so 3wishes is right, m'boro would then only have to pay the forefit fee and reschedule whom ever they would want.

Well GENIUS (quite surprised you could spell that), what's the deal here? I wouldn't think Frazier would bail out on this game. You think the higher ups are behind this move? Something is going on behind the scenes for sure. I know Frazier looked at it as if he had nothing to lose before by playing Bell, which I think he was right about. Something has changed that thinking I guess. We may never know. I'll say this, if they back out this year, forget about them for good. No need to waste your time on this game. I still hop we see this game happen.....

There may be something to this. Heard that something happened and the Admin. has wanted to revisit the discussion to play next year. The coach came from Bell should have a good relationship. They are tight lip about what happened...anyone know?

No idea what it could be. It's not like Frazier to get cold feet or back of a deal so I would say it has to do with admins. This is a shame because this rivalry needs to be renewed. I just don't understand the logic behind it all. Mboro should be willing to jump all over this opportunity. They have nothing to lose here, unless they're thinking is if Bell beats them bad enough that they may lose some of their future players to Bell. Other than that I have no idea why they would back out of this game????

tehot05 Wrote:listen coach Hilton does not have to prove anything anymore, next year he will be the all time winningest coach in KY high school football.. When he was young we played the highland teams and the lexington teams.. no matter what kind of scheldule were gonna have, by gosh Dudley Hilton knows what he is doing.. yea we lost 9 of 11 starters on the defensive side but next year we will be right there in the mixed competing for a state title..
How many starters did we lose after the 08 team? It was alot too wasnt it?
We lost:
QB/S Zachery
K/P/PAT Merrick
WR/DB Overbay
RB/DB Greer
RB/LB Simpson
DL Harbin
RB/DL Slusher
FB/LB Goodin
OL/DL Slusher
OL/DL King
OL/DL Brittion
WR/DB Ely
OL/DL Fuson
I think all of them but Fuson started. Dudley is great at bringing up talent. The next year we went back to State Semi again after losing 13 Seniors.

I think they are worried about getting blown off the field again.

Guys, RELAX, Coach Hilton isnt going anywhere! The man is one of the most successful coaches in KY history at the h.s. level, well any level! He has one game and he breaks the record and as much love and commitment that he has poured of himself to the BELL CO. program over the many years. I would absolutely be amazed if he broke the record wearing anything but the BLUE/WHITE.

hope you're right trenches
you have anything to back up that thought, or just wishful thinking?

You would think that he would want to break it in blue. Only he knows. After all that he has done for Bell High you would think the man could get anything he wanted. They owe him...he has put them on the map. IMO which doesn't mean a hill of beans ...If the right High School job comes open ...he leaves. As long as he gets the record those wins from Bell will be on there. He has done a great job.

WhyLie, its about the same situation as any other. We dont know what we have till its gone and one of these days the Bell County admin. will see that, will they care, maybe-maybe not but I assure you if those kids pick who they play for it would be the "ol man" he finds a way to win year and year out!

JMO but I don't see Dudley going anywhere. Maybe some of my opinion is due to the fact I don't want to see him go but the logical side of me still says he'll be on Log Mountain for several years to come. And as far as the admins taking care of him, I don't know if you could ever give Dudley enough because of all his success over the years but he has a pretty sweet deal right now if you ask me. I would be surprised if he complained much about his situation. I believe he'll be right here when it's all said and done just like every year when this comes up.....
12-01-2010, 10:15 AM
How about this senario for ya........If Dudley does leave.........in my opinion Randy will be considered for the job.........So maybe that is one possibility of this bell-middleboro game not taking place.......just an opinion.....not a fact.
12-01-2010, 10:24 AM
i don't think he wants to go; i heard it was health issues.
12-01-2010, 10:29 AM
Don't think Bell goes in that direction. When the problem comes to light, I think relationshipships will be in a bind. If there is any merit to the info. on why Middlesboro may be cancelling the game. I will not post this type rumor on the site. If it is true then everyone will know soon enough. Would any coach in their right mind want to follow Dudley Hilton? Heard it may be Kenny Roark.

i think the old man's blood pressure is a problem. middle school football is down big time and he don't have the initiative to try and get that program better.
also heard a couple of names dropped to replace him, but don't know if that info is accurate or not.
