LWC Wrote:For me it has to be Tim Duncan.Dude did you even read the accolades you posted for him? With stuff like that you are not underrated. Most analysts think he is one of the greatest power forwards/centers to ever play.
Played 13 seasons, his teams went to the playoffs 12 of those seasons
4 Rings.
2 MVP awards
3 Finals MVP's.
12 Time All-Star
9 Time 1st Team
3 Time 2nd Team
Rookie of the Year
8 Time 1st Team Defense
5 Time 2nd Team Defense
Career Averages:
21 points 12 rebounds 3 assists 2 blocks
Who is your pick for most underrated player in ANY sport?

LWC Wrote:John is also underrated BUT he has the same problem that Scottie Pippen does, he played behind someone more well known that was just as good, if not better.Thats because people will look at the league now and right now Duncan is not an elite player anymore. He is average. His body is just wore out. But if you was to ask for a top ten of this past decade, Duncan would most def be on it.
Think about it. Ask someone to name the 10 best players in the NBA. They probably say:
Kobe
Wade
Melo
LBJ
Durant
Dirk
Gasol
Paul
Howard
Nash
Pierce/Garnett/Rondo/Allen (they will say one of those)
Notice that Timmy is not on that list?

Richmond was also a 6-time all-star and won the '89 rookie of the year award.
A Life-long Kings fan like me will never argue with you. I thought I saw a quote one time from Jordan that said he was the one guy that he hated to play against.

In football Id have to say Rod Woodson.
Heres a guy who has more career INTs than Deion Sanders and could play the run as good or better than 90% of the LBs in the league at that time. He was a bone crushing, fearless hitter. But whenever anyone talks about a shutdown corner they talk about Deion. Deion wouldnt tackle a wet mop. Woodson was a better cover corner than Deion was and when he was moved to Safety he was as feared as Ronnie Lott was by WRs coming across the middle. I guess if Rod wouldve done some stupid dance every time he got a pick six hed come up in more discussions about the best DBs of all time as he should. I will always believe that Rod Woodsons DNA was used in the lab where they created Troy Polamalu. LOL!!!
